{"id":1020,"date":"2013-09-14T15:00:00","date_gmt":"2013-09-14T15:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/amlak.net.sa?p=1020"},"modified":"2013-09-14T15:00:00","modified_gmt":"2013-09-14T15:00:00","slug":"%d8%aa%d9%88%d9%82%d9%8a%d8%b9-%d8%b9%d9%82%d8%af-%d8%aa%d8%a3%d8%b3%d9%8a%d8%b3-%d8%b4%d8%b1%d9%83%d8%a9-%d8%aa%d8%b7%d9%88%d9%8a%d8%b1-%d8%a7%d9%84%d8%b9%d9%82%d9%8a%d8%b1-%d8%a8%d8%b1%d8%a3%d8%b3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/amlak.net.sa\/en\/1020\/","title":{"rendered":"Aqeer Development Company signed with a capital of 2.7 billion riyals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Articles of Incorporation<br \/>\nThe company\u2019s articles of incorporation were signed by representatives of the participating entities and companies, namely: the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs (Al-Ahsa Governorate Secretariat), the Public Investment Fund, the Public Pension Agency, the Agricultural Development Fund, the Saudi Real Estate Company, the Peninsula Group, the Astra Group, the Al-Sha\u2019la Holding Group, Al-Rashid Trading and Contracting Company, Abdul Latif Al-Arfaj &amp; Brothers Holding Company, Namaa Real Estate Company, Al-Sharq Development Company for Industry and Contracting, Al-Saadoun Company for Industry and Contracting, Al-Yassin Agricultural Company, Al-Ahsa Tourism and Entertainment Company (\u00abAhsana\u00bb), Al-Jawad Trading, Industry, and Contracting Company; Prince Salman Center for Disability Research; Association for Children with Disabilities; and Bazal Al-Khair Foundation for Commercial and Real Estate Enterprises.<br \/>\nDevelopment of Tourist Sites<br \/>\nHis Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, delivered a speech in which he affirmed that the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defense, and His Royal Highness Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz, Second Deputy Prime Minister\u2014may God protect them\u2014 \u2014 is deeply committed to developing and enhancing tourist sites throughout the Kingdom and to advancing all tourist destinations in order to open up avenues for tourism investment and create significant job opportunities for Saudi youth, who have moved beyond the amateur stage to become professionals in the tourism sector.<br \/>\nHis Highness added that the Al-Aqir Development Project embodies the leadership\u2019s\u2014may God preserve them\u2014commitment to the economic development of all regions of the Kingdom through diverse projects that benefit the nation and its citizens.<br \/>\nHis Highness praised the efforts of the General Authority for Tourism and Antiquities, led by His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, to promote domestic tourism and develop its services, and for supporting tourism investment, which is essential for the implementation of such large-scale economic projects. His Highness expressed his appreciation to all government agencies and private-sector companies that participated in the project.<br \/>\nDomestic tourism<br \/>\nFor his part, His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, President of the General Authority for Tourism and Antiquities, emphasized in his speech following the signing of the company\u2019s founding contract that the Al-Aqir development project \u2014which is the first integrated tourist destination in which the state is a partner\u2014has, from its very inception, received guidance and support from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defense \u2014may God preserve them\u2014and their emphasis on domestic tourism and its development to help create job opportunities for citizens, and to encourage citizens and their families to remain in their homeland by providing integrated infrastructure and distinctive tourism services, as well as the blessing of His Majesty the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques\u2014may God support him\u2014for the project during his visit to Al-Ahsa Governorate in Jumada al-Awwal 1427 AH, and His Majesty\u2019s approval in 1428 AH of the Supreme Economic Council\u2019s recommendation to establish the Al-Aqeer Development Company in accordance with the investment model submitted by the General Authority for Tourism and Antiquities and endorsed by the ministerial committee overseeing the project, and the Cabinet\u2019s approval on the 11th of Ramadan 1433 AH to allocate one billion four hundred million riyals for investment to extend water, electricity, and sanitation infrastructure to the project\u2019s boundaries.<br \/>\nProject Area<br \/>\nThe Al-Aqeer development project covers an area of 100 million square meters, with beaches stretching 15 kilometers along the coast of the Arabian Gulf, The project is located no more than 70 kilometers from the cities of Dammam and Al-Hofuf, and 370 kilometers from the city of Riyadh.<br \/>\nA number of government agencies are working on the Al-Aqeer development project in collaboration with the General Authority for Tourism and Antiquities, including the Ministries of Municipal and Rural Affairs (Al-Ahsa Municipality), Water and Electricity, Commerce and Industry, the General Investment Authority, and other relevant agencies.The project will serve citizens and residents of the Eastern Province, Riyadh, and other regions of the Kingdom, as well as visitors from the Arab Gulf states.With its integrated components and diverse services, the project will provide tourism options tailored to the needs and preferences of Saudi families, meet the recreational needs of young people, and develop tourism services and events, in addition to hosting conferences, exhibitions, and other economic activities. Throughout all stages of its development, the project is expected to contribute to the creation of more than 90,000 direct and indirect job opportunities for citizens.<br \/>\nProject Facilities<br \/>\nThe project features numerous elements, most notably tourism, cultural, economic, and recreational facilities, including: water parks, auto centers, water sports centers, amusement parks, and desert resorts \u2013 heritage and maritime museums, including the Maritime Science Museum and the Historic Al-Aqeer Port Museum \u2013 villages and shopping centers \u2013 water sports marinas \u2013 a yacht club \u2013 an exhibition and conference center \u2013 markets for arts and crafts \u2013 Development of archaeological sites along Al-Aqeer Beach, in addition to other government service facilities (security, health, education, and tourism).
