The modern Jamarat facility is one of the most prominent development projects implemented by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the holy sites, and represents a qualitative leap in crowd management, in line with the highest international engineering and organizational standards, with a capacity of more than (300) thousand pilgrims per hour, allowing flexible and safe movement during the peak performance of the ritual of throwing the Jamarat on the days of Tashreeq.
On this day every year, crowds of pilgrims flock to the Jamarat area in Mina to perform this ritual, in a majestic devotional scene that embodies obedience and following the guidance of the Prophet Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, as part of the greatest and most carefully organized rituals of the Hajj pilgrimage.

Engineering Tutor
<\/strong>In the past, the Jamarat were small stone pillars surrounded by narrow spaces and limited roads, which caused severe congestion and difficulties in performing the ritual, especially with the increasing number of pilgrims. Today, the facility has turned into an integrated engineering landmark consisting of five floors, 950 meters long, 80 meters wide, and includes (386) electric stairs, (11) buildings for electric stairs, multi-directional bridges, entry and exit corridors, emergency exits, and smart cooling and monitoring systems.
The facility is integrated with a precise operational system that includes specialized field teams working around the clock to ensure safety, provide medical and guidance services, in cooperation with various security and service agencies, as the facility has been supported with multilingual guidance screens and modern surveillance cameras, which contribute to enhancing the flow and safety of pilgrims.
Kadana Development and Development Company - the executive arm of the Royal Commission for Makkah and Holy Sites - worked as part of the comprehensive maintenance and equipping of the Jamarat facility, raising the efficiency of the facilities and enhancing their readiness to serve the pilgrims.

Advanced operating system
<\/strong>The company operates an integrated operational and technical system that includes (340) escalators, (682) digital surveillance cameras to ensure smooth movement and monitor human densities, in addition to allocating (228) golf carts to facilitate the movement of pilgrims and workers within the facility and its vital facilities.
On the safety side, the company has equipped advanced and high-readiness firefighting systems that include (295) fire boxes, (1078) fire extinguishers, and more than (3350) automatic fire sprinklers, which enhances the speed of response and raises safety levels within the facility.
The technical equipment included the maintenance and operation of (456) air conditioning units to create a suitable atmosphere for pilgrims, as well as the operation of more than (74) thousand lighting units to ensure high levels of lighting in various floors, corridors and surrounding squares.
The engineering maintenance work extended to include bridges, ramps, tunnels, basements and surrounding yards, in addition to the escalator buildings and the maintenance of their paints, which contributes to maintaining the operational and visual readiness of the facility.

Clear pedestrian paths
<\/strong>The plan also included the maintenance of more than (1,216) directional signs to ensure the clarity of pedestrian paths, the repair of more than (520) umbrellas and metal structures, in addition to the maintenance of (4) main tents in the fourth bridge, and the cleaning and preparation of flood drainage ferries and channels in the squares and parking lots.
The company provided more than (28,000) plastic barriers to organize the movement of crowds and direct paths accurately, as part of its efforts to provide a safe and facilitated experience for the pilgrims during their performance of the rituals.
The Jamarat facility continues to play its role as one of the most prominent development projects in the Holy Sites, with its advanced engineering and operational integration that contributes to managing the movement of millions of pilgrims with high efficiency, and reflects the magnitude of the care that the Kingdom pays to serve the pilgrims and develop the infrastructure of the Holy Sites in accordance with the highest international standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
