\u00a0<\/span>The Shura Council, in its session yesterday under the chairmanship of Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Al-Sheikh, Speaker of the Council, renewed its adherence to the decision of the system of ownership and investment of real estate by non-Saudis in Makkah and Medina, which was returned to the Shura Council for study pursuant to Article 17 of the Council's regulations.<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

This came during the hearing of the report of the Economy and Energy Committee on returning the issue of defining the meaning of the term \"non-Saudis\" in Article (5) of the Real Estate Ownership and Investment Law, which was returned to the Shura Council for study pursuant to Article 17 of the Council's regulations, read by Abdul Rahman bin Rashid Al-Rashed, Chairman of the Committee<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Shura Council upheld its previous decision regarding the term \"non-Saudi\" in Article 5 of the Law, which states: (The term \"non-Saudi\" stipulated in Article (5) of the same Law means the following: A natural person who does not have Saudi Arabian nationality, a non-Saudi company, and a Saudi company that is founded, co-founded, or owns shares in it by natural or legal persons, none of whom have Saudi Arabian nationality.).<\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
