His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, yesterday launched at his office in the Governorate\u2019s Diwan, development, investment, and community projects in the Qatif Governorate, with a total value exceeding 900 million riyals, in the presence of His Excellency the Secretary of the Eastern Province, Engineer Fahd bin Muhammad Al-Jubeir.

Infrastructure Development
<\/strong>These projects are part of the Eastern Province Secretariat\u2019s efforts to develop Infrastructure<\/a><\/strong>, improving road infrastructure, increasing green spaces, developing municipal assets, and creating unique destinations that contribute to enhancing the quality of life and supporting economic activity in the governorate.
His Highness the Governor of the Eastern Province emphasized that the support and attention the municipal sector receives from the wise leadership \u2014may God support them\u2014has contributed to the implementation of high-quality development projects that improve the quality of services, promote urban development, and enhance the efficiency of infrastructure, thereby positively impacting the quality of life in the cities and governorates of the Eastern Province, He also noted the importance of continuing to implement projects in accordance with the highest standards of quality and efficiency, thereby enhancing the investment environment, providing facilities and services that meet the needs of residents and visitors, and contributing to the achievement of sustainable development.
For his part, His Excellency the Secretary of the Eastern Province, Engineer Fahd bin Muhammad Al-Jubeir, explained that the launch of these projects is an extension of the tremendous support and attention that the Qatif Governorate receives from the wise leadership \u2014may God support them\u2014and expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Highness the Governor of the Eastern Province for his continuous support and constant commitment to following up on development projects that contribute to enhancing the quality of life and achieving sustainable development in the region.

Quality Projects
<\/strong>Al-Jubeir stated that these projects embody the integration of efforts to transform development plans into tangible, high-quality projects that positively impact residents and visitors, noting that they combine infrastructure development, an increase in green spaces, the development of investment destinations, and support for community projects, thereby contributing to improving the quality of life and achieving sustainable development outcomes. This aligns with the objectives of the Kingdom\u2019s Vision 2030 and enhances the province\u2019s appeal for investment and tourism.
Engineer Al-Jubeir explained that the projects included the opening of three major development projects to Methods <\/a><\/strong>With a total length of 9,500 meters, at a cost exceeding 178 million riyals, with the aim of improving traffic flow, enhancing accessibility, strengthening connectivity between different parts of the province, reducing travel time, and improving safety and the urban landscape. The projects included the development of King Abdulaziz Street\u2014Phase 1, which is 2,500 meters long and 60 meters wide\u2014and Riyadh Street Street\u2014Phase 1, 3,000 meters long and 40 meters wide\u2014as well as North Al-Nassera Street, 4,000 meters long and 40 meters wide, The development work includes paving and street lighting, pedestrian walkways, stormwater drainage, directional signs, parking lots, rest areas, landscaping, and urban beautification elements, as well as a dedicated lane for public transit buses.

Opening of 15 Parks
<\/strong>The projects included the opening of 15 parks in a number of neighborhoods across the governorate, covering a total area of more than 71,000 square meters, at a total cost of 13 million riyals. The parks include open spaces and green areas, a variety of trees and shrubs, walking paths, children\u2019s play areas, seating areas for relaxation, and lighting and aesthetic features, as well as supporting facilities and services. These projects aim to increase green space, provide safe recreational areas close to residents within neighborhoods, promote physical activity and healthy lifestyles, improve the urban environment, and strengthen social cohesion and quality of life.

Launch of 3 Investment Projects
<\/strong>The projects include the launch of three major investment projects with a total investment of 720 million riyals, led by the Prince Sultan Cultural Center project, with an investment value of 500 million riyals, built on an area exceeding 153,000 square meters, to serve as a comprehensive destination for cultural, tourism, and entertainment events and activities, In addition, there is the development project for the Al-Khamis Traditional Market, valued at 120 million riyals and built on an area of 24,000 square meters, designed to be a commercial and heritage destination that preserves its social identity while enhancing the urban environment and services and improving the experience for visitors and shoppers, along with the development of Sehat Park, with an investment value of 100 million riyals, as a comprehensive family and recreational destination featuring areas for recreation and play, green spaces, walking trails, family seating areas, and service facilities, thereby contributing to the development of municipal assets, the creation of cultural, tourist, and commercial destinations, the enhancement of revenue sustainability, and the opening of broader opportunities for private-sector participation.

The inauguration included two projects under community engagement initiatives, with a total investment of 8.5 million riyals: the development of the Sihat Roundabout, at a cost of 5 million riyals, covering an area of 10,500 square meters, and the construction of the Artisans\u2019 Park at a cost of 3.5 million riyals on an area of 3,000 square meters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
