Al-Mufadh explained that compliance indicators in the market have witnessed a significant improvement over the past period, noting a decrease in the number of cases of dealing with unlicensed operators compared to what was the case about two and a half years ago. He called on traders to report any violations and not to deal with unlicensed operators, as raising awareness is one of the most important tools for limiting excesses.
He added that the Authority relies on several regulatory mechanisms, the most prominent of which is the \u201chidden shopper,\u201d which is responsible for communicating with real estate ads to verify the compliance of those who operate them with the regulations. In the event of any violation, the regulatory procedures will be initiated against the offenders, stressing that field and electronic monitoring continue, and that the cooperation of the customers contributes to eliminating violations. He pointed out that the real estate brokerage system, despite its recent implementation, has achieved a high degree of maturity thanks to the support received by the real estate sector, explaining that the results achieved over the past three years reflect the success of the legislative system and the high level of compliance and trust in the market.

Real estate deals exceed 1.6 trillion riyals<\/strong>
The official revealed that the total value of real estate transactions since the implementation of the system on July 18, 2023 exceeded 1.6 trillion riyals, while the number of sales and rental transactions exceeded 13 million, real estate advertisements recorded more than 1.2 million ads, while the number of brokerage contracts concluded during the same period exceeded 1.1 million contracts.
He added that the number of licensed real estate agents reached 117 thousand, considering these figures to reflect the strength of the Saudi real estate market, its rapid growth, and the increased level of trust among the customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the development of professional qualification, it was announced that the Ministry has launched a new course for real estate mediation levels, which includes five training courses followed by a comprehensive test held in person at the National Measurement Center\u2019s centers located in various regions of the Kingdom, instead of remote testing, with the aim of improving the quality of training outputs and ensuring the efficiency of practitioners. It was also announced the introduction of the real estate regulations and systems diploma, an optional program aimed at enhancing the regulatory knowledge of real estate agents and opening new fields of work in real estate consulting, which will be launched in the near future.

Improving the quality of competencies<\/strong>
He emphasized that the Authority is no longer focused on increasing the number of licensed real estate agents, but rather on improving the quality of those who provide services. He explained that the next phase aims to attract more qualified agents with the ability to provide professional services, especially with the significant expansion of the real estate market and new legislations, including the system for non-Saudi nationals to own real estate. Al-Mufreed noted that real estate awareness remains the most significant challenges facing the sector, both among agents and buyers, noting that the Authority is working with agents to implement awareness initiatives, including projects aimed at raising the awareness of owners and creators of content in the real estate market about best practices in the market.

Updating the regulations and policies<\/strong>
Regarding legislation, he explained that the authority has largely completed the construction of the regulatory system for the sector, and the next phase will focus on updating regulations to keep pace with the rapid changes in the market, not just issuing new legislation. He also announced that the implementation of the classification of real estate brokerage and auction facilities has begun in accordance with criteria that include years of experience, the number and value of transactions, the level of compliance, the number of training courses, as well as the size of the facility, its branches, and its employees, with the facilities being classified into five categories, and the classification will begin as of February 1, 2027 after the publication of the classification guidelines and the provision of a period for self-evaluation of the facilities. Regarding real estate advertisements, he revealed that celebrities and content creators must obtain a \u201cVal\u201d license alongside a \u201cTrusted\u201d license before publishing any real estate advertisement, after coordination with the General Authority for Media Regulation, affirming that a \u201cTrusted\u201d license alone will not be sufficient to practice real estate advertising.

Keeping up with the digital transformation<\/strong>
He emphasized that the Authority continues to keep pace with the digital transformation, noting that the Saudi Real Estate Center is working to embrace modern real estate technologies and study innovative solutions within a trial legislative environment, ensuring the development of systems to keep pace with applications of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.
At the end of his speech, Al-Mufreed emphasized that the future of real estate mediation in the Kingdom is promising, given the new legislations, the expansion of real estate products, and the increase in investment opportunities.
