The area is located near King Khalid International Airport, Wadi Al-Sali, and the Dammam and Janadriyah highways.<br><br>The plan outlines a general vision for land use in the region and is based on a number of key principles, most notably the creation of a long-term urban model that allows for phased expansion, and the design of integrated communities that combine housing with daily services, along with a balanced distribution among residential, economic, recreational, and natural areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Expansion of Riyadh<br><\/strong>The development of this plan is part of the long-term planning process for the expansion of Riyadh, which continues to experience urban, demographic, and economic growth as a capital city undergoing rapid transformation. The plan helps guide one of the city\u2019s future growth directions, in line with its current and future needs, with a focus on improving quality of life, enhancing green spaces, and preserving natural wadis within a balanced and cohesive planning framework.<br>His Excellency Engineer Ibrahim bin Muhammad Al-Sultan, CEO of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City, expressed his gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and to His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City\u2014may God protect them both\u2014for the generous support and patronage extended to the city of Riyadh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Developing the Capital to Keep Pace with Population Growth<br><\/strong>He explained that the preliminary master plan for the area northeast of Riyadh represents an important planning step in the capital\u2019s development process and reflects the Authority\u2019s efforts to anticipate the city\u2019s needs, regulate its expansion, and prepare long-term plans that keep pace with Riyadh\u2019s growth.<br>The Authority emphasized that the master plan for northeastern Riyadh represents an initial planning phase and is not an announcement of a new implementation project, as it will be followed by subsequent planning phases and the preparation of detailed plans for the various areas by the relevant authorities.
