{"id":108219,"date":"2026-08-01T14:52:29","date_gmt":"2026-08-01T11:52:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/amlak.net.sa\/?p=108219"},"modified":"2026-08-03T10:26:29","modified_gmt":"2026-08-03T07:26:29","slug":"%d8%aa%d9%85%d8%af%d9%8a%d8%af-%d8%a5%d8%b4%d8%b1%d8%a7%d9%81-%d9%88%d8%b2%d8%a7%d8%b1%d8%a9-%d8%a7%d9%84%d8%a8%d9%84%d8%af%d9%8a%d8%a7%d8%aa-%d9%88%d8%a7%d9%84%d8%a5%d8%b3%d9%83%d8%a7%d9%86-%d8%b9","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/amlak.net.sa\/en\/108219\/","title":{"rendered":"Extension of the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing\u2019s Oversight of Residential and Commercial Waste Collection Fees"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Cabinet approved the continuation of the authority to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/amlak.net.sa\/en\/108030\/\">Ministry of Municipalities and Housing<\/a><\/strong> Regarding collection fees <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/amlak.net.sa\/en\/16124\/\">Waste <\/a><\/strong>Residential and commercial properties, effective as of the expiration date specified in Item (II) of Royal Decree No. (M\/160) dated 3\/8\/1446 AH, until the Board of Directors of the National Waste Management Center finalizes and approves the study prepared in this regard.<br><br>The decision stipulates that the Ministry will continue to have jurisdiction over the supervision of commercial and residential waste collection fees effective the 6th of Muharram 1447 AH, until the regulatory procedures for determining and approving the fees stipulated in the Waste Management System are completed, thereby ensuring the continuity of service provision and the regulation of the fee collection mechanism during the transitional phase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The approval was granted after reviewing the correspondence received from the Royal Court and the telegram from the Minister of Municipalities and Housing regarding the request to maintain the Ministry\u2019s jurisdiction, in addition to reviewing municipal service fees, the waste management system, and the relevant royal decrees, Cabinet Decision No. (611) issued on 22\/8\/1447 AH, as well as the memoranda from the Expert Committee, the recommendation of the Council of Economic and Development Affairs, the Shura Council\u2019s decision, and the recommendation of the General Committee of the Cabinet. This decision comes as part of efforts to complete the regulation of the waste management sector, whereby the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing will continue to exercise this authority until the financial compensation is approved in accordance with the national framework for fees and financial compensation approved by the Council of Ministers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The extension aims to ensure the stability of commercial and residential waste collection services and prevent them from being disrupted during the transitional period, as well as to finalize the regulatory and financial aspects related to the implementation of the waste management system, thereby contributing to improving the efficiency of municipal and environmental services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"span-reading-time rt-reading-time\" style=\"display: block;\"><span class=\"rt-label rt-prefix\">Reading time: <\/span> <span class=\"rt-time\"> &lt; 1<\/span> <span class=\"rt-label rt-postfix\">Minute<\/span><\/span>The Council of Ministers approved the continuation of the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing\u2019s authority regarding residential and commercial waste collection fees, effective as of the date of expiration of the period specified in Item (II) of Royal Decree No. (M\/160) dated 3\/8\/1446 AH, until the Board of Directors of the National Waste Management Center completes and approves the study prepared on this matter.
