Revealed Ministry of Municipalities and Housing<\/a><\/strong> More than 12,000 families benefited from the Rent Support Program during the first half of 2026, as part of housing solutions designed for eligible families, aimed at assisting them when they are unable to pay rent due to circumstances beyond their control and at supporting their housing stability.
The ministry explained that the program provides support to eligible cases after an enforceable judgment has been issued against the beneficiary; the case is automatically referred from the enforcement court through an electronic integration system with the relevant authorities, so that the Central Committee can review the case and determine the appropriate type of support, and to complete the payment procedures within a period not exceeding 30 days from the date of referral by the enforcement court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She explained that to benefit from the program, a residential lease agreement must be registered in the electronic network for services Rent <\/strong>\u201cRent\u201d as an enforceable instrument, along with the applicability of the eligibility criteria to the referred case, thereby ensuring that assistance reaches those who are entitled to it in accordance with approved procedures and regulations.
She added that the program covers citizens who are unable to pay their rent, provided they fall under the categories specified by the Cabinet\u2019s decision, namely: (the family of a deceased person, prisoners, the sick, and those with limited financial means), with each case subject to review by the relevant committee before the subsidy is approved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It should be noted that the Housing Rent Support Program was issued pursuant to Cabinet Decision No. (405) and is part of a system of programs Developmental housing<\/a><\/strong> Aimed at eligible families, to provide housing solutions that help promote family stability and social protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
