The pace of awards varied over the first seven months of the year; in January, five projects worth 11.74 billion riyals were awarded, while February saw four projects worth 2.81 billion riyals awarded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In March, 11 projects worth 15.66 billion riyals were awarded, before the number of projects rose in April to 23, worth 11.81 billion riyals.<br>May saw a notable jump in the value of projects, with 18 projects awarded totaling 30.04 billion riyals, while June maintained a high level of activity with 25 projects worth 29.50 billion riyals, before the number and value of projects declined in July to 11 projects worth 9.75 billion riyals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Construction Accounts for Two-Thirds of the Value of Contracts Awarded in July<\/strong><br>Activity in July was primarily concentrated in the building and construction sector, which accounted for 67.6% of the total value of projects awarded during the month.<br>The value of projects in the building and construction sector reached 6.59 billion riyals, spread across seven projects, placing the sector in first place by a clear margin over the other sectors.<br>The infrastructure sector ranked second with three projects worth approximately 2.79 billion riyals, accounting for 28.6% of the total value of contracts awarded during the month. As for the water and energy sector, one project worth approximately 375 million riyals was awarded, representing 3.9% of the total value of projects awarded in July.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Riyadh Accounts for the Largest Share<\/strong><br>Geographically, the Riyadh region led the Kingdom's regions in terms of the value of projects awarded in July, securing seven projects with a total value of 7.5 billion riyals.<br>The Ha'il region ranked second with three projects worth 1.88 billion riyals, while the Eastern Province came in third with one project worth approximately 375 million riyals.<br>As a result, the majority of the value of new projects during the month was concentrated in Riyadh, with a smaller share in both Ha'il and the Eastern Province.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Royal Commission for Riyadh City Tops the List of Project Owners<\/strong><br>In terms of project contractors, the Royal Commission for Riyadh City topped the list of the largest contractors for projects awarded in July in terms of value, with a total of 2.79 billion riyals spread across three projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00abCluster 2\u00bb came in second place with 1.88 billion riyals across three projects, while the Diriyah Gate Development Authority and the Public Investment Fund tied for third place with a total of approximately 1.16 billion riyals across two projects.<br>Madad Investment and Real Estate Development Company recorded contract awards totaling approximately 1.04 billion riyals for a single project, while Al-Qiddiya Investment Company ranked fifth with a value of approximately 750 million riyals for a single project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>11 projects expected to be awarded in August<\/strong><br>Looking ahead to next month, a report by the Saudi Contractors Authority forecasts that 11 new projects will be awarded to contractors in August 2026, with more than 70% of these projects concentrated in the construction and infrastructure sectors.<br>It is also expected that about half of the projects scheduled to be awarded this month will be concentrated in the Eastern Province and the Makkah Region, indicating that the sector\u2019s geographic diversification will continue in the coming period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The list of entities expected to launch their projects in August includes the National Housing Company, Retal Urban Development Company, and Dar &amp; Emaar Real Estate Investment and Development Company, as well as Saudi Aramco, the Saudi Water Authority, Al-Omar Investment Company, and Thabat Al-Maskan Real Estate Company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p
