It opens today, Sunday Big 5 Construct Saudi 2026 Exhibition\u00ab<\/a><\/strong> At the Riyadh International Exhibition and Conference Center, with the participation of more than 1,000 local and international exhibitors representing more than 50 countries, and running until September 2, under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, the Saudi construction and construction sector is witnessing rapid expansion, which raises the need for more efficient solutions, advanced technologies, and well-considered procurement decisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year's edition is held under the slogan \u00abFrom Foundation to the Future, Solutions Tailored to Different Projects,\u00bb to provide a platform that brings together Contractors <\/a><\/strong>Consultants, engineers, procurement specialists and project owners, with the aim of reviewing the latest technologies, products and solutions that cover the various stages of project implementation, from initial construction and development to sustainable operation and facility management.
The exhibition focuses on key sectors including heavy construction, concrete technologies, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, and cooling, as well as facility management, alongside environmental solutions and clean technologies, in line with the transformations underway. Construction sector <\/a><\/strong>In the Kingdom, these are among the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
The August edition includes four specialized events: the HVACR Saudi Arabia exhibition, the FM & Clean Saudi Arabia exhibition, the Heavy Saudi Arabia exhibition, and the Totally Concrete Saudi Arabia exhibition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A platform for making procurement decisions<\/strong>
The exhibition comes at a time when the pressure on the teams working in the construction sector is increasing, whether in terms of making procurement decisions, complying with changing regulatory requirements, or completing projects more efficiently.
By bringing together suppliers, manufacturers, and solution providers in a single platform, the exhibition allows professionals to compare the products and solutions on offer, establish direct contact with suppliers, and identify technologies and products that meet the requirements of existing and upcoming projects in various regions of the Kingdom.
A select group of Saudi companies and factories are participating to showcase products and services that support the growth of the construction and building sector, including Masdar, which offers a wide range of construction materials, electrical products, tools and equipment, while Al Yamama Iron Industries highlights structural steel solutions used in infrastructure projects and major buildings.
The companies of brothers Hussein and Hassan Ghazi Shaker also showcase heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration technologies, while Medgulf offers a range of insurance and reinsurance solutions, including engineering, property and liability insurance, marine insurance and more.
The Construction Materials Holding Company participates in its integrated solutions in the fields of construction and building, while the list of exhibitors also includes Yami Tek, specialized in pump solutions for commercial, industrial, and municipal applications, Alima for vertical access solutions, the Gulf Group for Insulation, and the International Pipeline Company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Global solutions from more than 50 countries<\/strong>
The international presence of the exhibition enhances the diversity of the solutions and products on display, with the participation of companies from more than 50 countries. From Australia, Lanmex showcases its high-performance solutions to reinforce concrete with steel fibers, while K Flex from Egypt presents thermal and acoustic insulation solutions and fire prevention barriers. Coldrok Europe, Mase and MB K Machinery from Germany showcase their expertise in concrete cooling technologies, production machinery and reinforcement systems, while the Italian manufacturing sector is highlighted by Confindustria Veneto and Oscom, which offer specialized construction products and outdoor space solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the UAE, Mekarem Industries will showcase its building chemicals solutions, while the International Code Council and the International Association of Air Movement and Control will present their global expertise in building codes, safety standards, and HVAC systems performance. This year\u2019s event also sees the participation of a number of companies for the first time, including Arkaz specializing in construction and engineering, Costal for contracting, the Hamati Group for engineering and construction solutions, Total Energizes, Infirumn Iconic for environmental solutions, Mekal Al Saud, and the Modern Middle East Limited specializing in waste management and environmental solutions.
This diverse participation reflects the growing interest of companies in direct access to buyers, establishing new partnerships, and enhancing their presence in the Saudi construction sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sustainability and clean technologies<\/strong>
The sustainability track has a key presence through the \u00abBig 5 Impact Trail,\u00bb which highlights practical solutions that can contribute to improving the efficiency of projects, reducing their environmental impact, and improving the long-term performance of buildings.
Several companies are participating in the initiative, including Source, which showcases wood-based Kronospan panels and carbon-negative impact-coated panels, and Galaxy Technology, which offers Albion valves with carbon transparency across its range of cast iron.
The Al-Naim factory also showcases its polyurethane foam spray system for surfaces and waterproofing, while Keller offers solutions for soil improvement and foundations, and the Al-Fathim Engineering network presents integrated solutions for facility management and energy management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More than 50 experts at the \u00abBig 5 Talks\u00bb<\/strong>
Alongside the exhibition, the \u00abBig 5 Talks\u00bb sessions are held, which include more than 30 sessions approved by the Continuing Professional Development program, with the participation of more than 50 experts from the construction and building sector. The sessions discuss a range of technical, organizational, and operational priorities that affect project implementation in the Kingdom, including the Saudi Building Code, health and safety, project management, artificial intelligence, sustainability, concrete, standard construction, and heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.
One of the program\u2019s highlights was a keynote speech delivered by Engineer Saad Al-Shail, CEO of the Saudi Center for Building Codes, in preparation for a workshop titled \u00abUnderstanding Saudi Building Codes: Key Requirements and Compliance Paths,\u00bb which provides practical guidance on the requirements of the codes, compliance paths, and support for the implementation of projects that are safer and of higher quality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leadership and governance in construction sector procurement
<\/strong>One of the sessions also addresses leadership and governance in the construction sector, with a focus on project delivery, the flexibility of supply chains, collaboration among stakeholders, enhancing digital transparency, the challenges associated with procurement, and lessons learned from major projects in the Kingdom. Darco Macura, CEO of Khouli Group, Christopher Seymour, Managing Director of the Middle East and Africa at Meccon Consulting, and Shona Kiernan, member of the Building Accredited Institute and Project Manager at Masq City, will participate in this session, along with other speakers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quality assurance in the construction sector
<\/strong>Another session titled \u00abQuality Assurance in the Saudi Construction Sector: From Concrete Production to Facility Construction\u00bb explores ways to integrate international concrete standards with the Saudi Construction Code, thereby enhancing the quality of construction throughout the project lifecycle. The session is led by Engineer Ahmed K.F. Al-Ajera, the first associate and civil engineer and technical quality manager for concrete certified by the American Institute of Concrete in Dar Al-Hiyah Consulting Engineers \u00abShoter & Co.\u00bb It addresses material quality management, inspection and testing procedures, documentation practices, labor efficiency, and practical challenges associated with implementing the requirements of the American Institute of Concrete and the Saudi Construction Code at construction sites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Partnerships and solutions for Kingdom projects<\/strong>
Mohammad Kazee, First Vice President at DMG Events, said the need for reliable suppliers and practical technical expertise is increasing, alongside specialized discussions about the challenges and opportunities in the construction sector, which is witnessing widespread growth across the Kingdom.
