The ministry emphasized that these results are a continuation of its efforts to encourage landowners to develop their properties, increase the efficiency of land investment within cities, support a balance between supply and demand, and expand the supply of urban and residential properties.
She noted that the program for levying fees on vacant land and vacant properties continues to play a role in stimulating development by imposing fees on land located within the geographic areas specified by regulation, while granting statutory grace periods to taxpayers who are serious about developing their land in accordance with approved regulations.
She noted that the Real Estate Developers Services Center \u201cEtmam\u201d continues to support landowners and developers through a digital platform that includes more than 35 services covering various stages of development. The platform streamlines licensing and approval procedures and facilitates coordination with relevant authorities, thereby accelerating the implementation of projects within urban areas.
The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing continues to work on enhancing the integration between fee collection and providing property owners with development services, with the aim of improving land-use efficiency, accelerating land development, and increasing the supply of real estate and housing, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

The ministry previously revealed the results of implementing fees on undeveloped land and vacant properties in a number of regions across the Kingdom, with the total area of land that has entered development or the real estate market reaching approximately 279 million square meters, including 146 million square meters in the Eastern Province, 71 million in Riyadh, 28 million in Makkah, 19 million in Madinah, and 15 million in Al-Qassim. Revenues from these fees helped fund 71 projects in these regions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
