Today the activities continue Big 5 Construct Saudi exhibition\u00ab<\/a><\/strong> At the Riyadh International Exhibition and Conference Center, through the \u00abBig 5 Talks\u00bb program, which on its second day witnessed the participation of 19 speakers in 9 sessions discussing a number of the most prominent files related to the sector Construction<\/a><\/strong>These include employee well-being, safety in design, sustainability during construction operations, the Saudi Building Code, and compliance with standards.
The second day\u2019s sessions will be held at the Talks venue in Hall 4 from 5 p.m. until 8:40 p.m., with attendance at the sessions free of charge and participants receiving a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) certificate.
Several experts and specialists in the fields of safety, construction, sustainability, and environmental compliance are participating in today's sessions, including Abdullah Alahmadi, Director of Occupational Safety and Health for one of the major development projects, and the research fellow in safety sciences at Indiana University in Pennsylvania, alongside Isleen Baden, Head of Health and Safety for the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and the Pacific at MES.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The list of speakers also includes Amir Al-Meraibi, President of the International Fire Protection Engineering Association in Saudi Arabia, Dr. Ahmed Taha Numan, Director of Environment at Al-Rajhi Construction and Development Company, Dr. Fahd Saud Al-Haleem, Chairman of the Technical Committee for Residential Building Codes at the National Committee for Building Codes in Saudi Arabia and an Assistant Professor at King Saud University.
Halim al-Din Adambawa, Head of Health, Safety and Environment at Shaburgi Balloonage Midwest in Saudi Arabia, and Noor Allah Asy, Environmental Compliance Manager at the King Fahd Sports City project at the Bin Laden Group in Saudi Arabia, are also participating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A session to discuss the quality of construction<\/strong>
Today\u2019s \u00abBig 5 Talks\u00bb program includes a panel discussion on promoting a culture of quality construction through codes, training, and accountability, and the session will take place from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The discussion addresses the recurring errors related to compliance in large projects, the gaps in the capabilities behind these errors, and the determination of responsibility for the quality of the works at the construction sites.
The meeting is attended by Amer al-Mairabi, Mohammed S. Al-Manshawi, the chief quality assurance auditor in the Engineering and Construction sector at Mafrah Group, and Nabil Shaheen, the managing director of AHRI, while Adel al-Kharjun, the quality manager at ITALCONSULT, moderates the discussion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exhibition\u2019s areas include public works, concrete, heavy equipment, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVACR), and facility management.
The event also provides accredited educational sessions for continuous professional development, alongside opportunities for networking among contractors, consultants, developers, engineers, distributors, and procurement specialists, with exhibitors showcasing products, technologies, and solutions aimed at the construction market in Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
