Concluded The \u201cLib 2026\u201d conference\u201d<\/a><\/strong> Yesterday Thursday, the fifth edition of the event, organized by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the Saudi Union for Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones, the \u201cAlliance\u201d company, and the Investment Events Fund, under the slogan \u201cTo New Worlds\u201d, recorded a global technological and investment momentum that strengthened the Kingdom\u2019s position as a leading center for the digital economy andArtificial intelligence<\/a><\/strong>.
Over four days at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center in Al-Hamid, the conference witnessed announcements, investments, and agreements worth nearly $15 billion, including artificial intelligence infrastructure, data centers, cloud computing, technological manufacturing, and venture capital, alongside extensive initiatives to develop national capabilities and connect them with the needs of the labor market and promising sectors.

Artificial intelligence tops the conference announcements
<\/strong>Artificial intelligence and infrastructure investments topped the conference announcements, through a partnership system launched by Huamei with a number of major global technology companies to develop artificial intelligence data centers, cloud infrastructure, institutional models and solutions, and self-developed technologies.
The announcements included the establishment and expansion of data centers with large capacities, the development of infrastructure for computing and artificial intelligence, as well as the announcement of the availability of the Microsoft Azure cloud region in the Kingdom during November 2026, which enhances the hosting of data locally and supports the growth of cloud services and digital sectors.
The Ommar Information Systems Company also announced investments worth $1.2 billion to expand its data centers and increase their capacity to 192 megawatts, while NHC Innovation announced an investment of $800 million to develop the \u201cKhazam Digital Valley\u201d with capacities expandable to 65 megawatts by 2033.

In the most prominent cloud investments, Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced the launch of its first cloud infrastructure region in the Kingdom during December 2026, as part of a planned investment exceeding $5.3 billion, alongside expanding its partnership with Huawei to provide up to 50 megawatts of capacity within the Kingdom\u2019s first artificial intelligence region by 2028. The collaboration includes making the Arabic language model \u201cAlam\u201d available through Amazon Bedrock and providing the HUMAIN Fabric through the AWS Marketplace, enhancing advanced computing capabilities and enabling various sectors to develop and deploy advanced artificial intelligence solutions on a large scale.

Empowering developers
<\/strong>In the area of empowering developers, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the Organization for Digital Cooperation, and AMD have launched an open system to accelerate innovation in artificial intelligence, providing open software tools, training programs, and community participation initiatives for developers, startups, and software engineers.
The initiative provides access to the AMD program for AI developers, the company\u2019s portfolio of computing technologies, the AMD ROCm open software ecosystem, alongside tools from the Organization for the Standardization of Artificial Intelligence in Ethics and Governance; this develops local capabilities and supports the transformation of technological investments into applications and services that are scalable and scalable globally.
The conference witnessed Snowflake\u2019s expansion in the Kingdom with an investment of $300 million until 2030, including the opening of its regional headquarters, the launch of two additional cloud regions, the training of 25,000 employees, as well as HPE\u2019s expansion of the \u201cMade in Saudi Arabia\u201d initiative, the launch of an innovation center in collaboration with Intel, and the localization of advanced storage and server solutions.
And it emerged during The \u201cLib 2026\u201d conference\u201d<\/a><\/strong> Achievements in national technological manufacturing, including the launch of the first laptop computer from Lenovo manufactured in Riyadh as part of its partnership with Al-Alat, in a move that reflects the Kingdom\u2019s progress in the localization of technological industries, the development of national capabilities, and the transfer of knowledge and expertise.

Creative Industries
<\/strong>In the creative industries sector, Adobe announced a commitment worth over $4 billion as part of an expansion of its partnership with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and Huamein. The partnership includes making Adobe Firefly Standard and Adobe Express Premium free for 12 months to more than 27 million eligible citizens and residents aged 13 and above by the end of 2026, along with developing the first model for image generation using Adobe Firefly Foundry, designed in partnership with Huamein to take into account Saudi culture and the local context and support the production of creative content with a Saudi identity using text commands in Arabic.
The conference saw the record investment of bold capital, investment rounds, and announced funds totaling approximately $857 million, supporting the growth and expansion of technology and emerging companies from the Kingdom towards global markets, covering sectors such as artificial intelligence, biotechnology, financial technologies, and deep technologies.
On the capacity development side, today\u2019s final event saw the launch of a system of academies and initiatives in partnership with major global technology companies, including an initiative to make Gemini technologies available to more than one million students at Saudi universities, a ServiceNow academy targeting one million learners, and an \u201cArtificial Intelligence for Applied Manufacturing\u201d initiative in partnership with Scale AI to train 100,000 beneficiaries by 2030.

Launching digital initiatives
<\/strong>The launches included Intel\u2019s digital readiness initiative aimed at training 100,000 beneficiaries in specialized AI courses, an innovation ecosystem in collaboration with Snapchat targeting 20,000 beneficiaries, in addition to initiatives, academies, and centers for the development of student skills, faculty members, and professionals, and empowering women, as well as enhancing research, expertise, and specialized content in artificial intelligence.
His Excellency the Minister of Communications and Information Technology Engineer Abdullah bin Amer Al-Sawaha affirmed that what was achieved by the fifth edition of the \u201cLib\u201d conference embodies His Highness the Crown Prince\u2019s support and empowerment to build a competitive digital economy and solidify the Kingdom\u2019s position as a global center for technology and artificial intelligence.
His Excellency said: \u201cThis year\u2019s edition witnessed a global investment and technological momentum, with investments and launches extending from infrastructure and cloud computing to data centers, to advanced technologies and bold capital, alongside quality initiatives that invest in people and develop the capabilities of the sons and daughters of the homeland; which enhances the Kingdom\u2019s competitiveness and prepares it to seize opportunities in the smart era.\u201d.
He added: \u201cLibTal has transformed itself over five editions into a global platform that brings together innovators, investors, and technology creators from more than 165 countries, connecting capital with talent and promising opportunities, supporting the growth of the digital economy and creating a sustainable impact that extends from the Kingdom to the world.\u201d.

A global trading platform
<\/strong>For his part, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming, and Drones, and Co-Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Faisal Al-Khumaisi Alliance, emphasized during the closing ceremony that \u201cLib\u201d was established to be a global business platform that brings companies, investors, customers, and technology creators together in one place, noting that the sustainability of the events is based on an investment model that achieves economic and commercial impact and serves the various parties in the system.
Khumaisi pointed to the growing impact of conferences in attracting investors and international visitors, revitalizing the hospitality, aviation, transportation, and services sectors, as well as providing business opportunities for Saudi companies. He emphasized that the success of \u201cLib\u201d contributed to building a Saudi brand that expanded internationally with the launch of \u201cLib East\u201d in Hong Kong, which attracted more than 25,000 visitors in its first edition.
For his part, Michael Champion, CEO of Alliance, explained that the 2026 edition is the best since the conference began, emphasizing that \u201cLib\u201d has become a pioneering model for the exhibition and conference industry in the region.
He explained that \u201cLib\u201d launched in 2022 as the largest technical conference launched globally for the first time, and then became the most attended technical conference in the world in its second edition, noting that the five editions hosted nearly 5,000 speakers and witnessed deals and advertisements worth nearly $60 billion.
He reported that the 2026 edition brought together participants from more than 165 countries, hosted more than 1,300 speakers, and more than 1,500 investors managing assets worth more than $18.3 trillion, confirming the global stature of the conference and its role in connecting capital with promising technological opportunities.
The conference announced at the conclusion of its work that the sixth edition of \u201cLib\u201d will be held from April 12 to 15, 2027; to continue building global partnerships, attract investments, enable innovation and talent, and strengthen the Kingdom\u2019s leadership in the smart era.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
