Activity then rose in June to 61,397 transactions worth 1,101,881,802 riyals, before July closed out the period with 65,918 transactions totaling 1,402,574,692 riyals.<br>As a result, the average value of a lease transaction over the seven-month period was only about 21,000 riyals, a significant difference compared to the average purchase transaction value of about 1.09 million riyals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Two Markets... and Two Measures of Activity<\/strong><br>Data from the Eastern Province for the period from January to July paint a different picture of real estate activity; the strength of the market cannot be gauged by the number of transactions alone, nor is financial value alone sufficient to gauge the volume of daily activity.<br>In terms of value, purchases clearly dominated, accounting for about three-quarters of the funds traded in real estate transactions, compared with approximately one-quarter for lease transactions.
