Intra-Islamic trade volume of $878 billion in 2015<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh, inaugurated yesterday evening, the activities of the 15th Trade Fair of the Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, with the participation of more than 39 Islamic countries through independent pavilions for each country that includes a number of companies, in the presence of HE the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Professor Ayad bin Amin Madani, and a number of ministers, ambassadors, senior officials, businessmen and investors from the Kingdom and Islamic countries.<\/p>\n

Boosting trade<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

During the opening ceremony, Minister of Trade and Investment Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi delivered a speech in which he expressed his thanks and gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for sponsoring the exhibition, explaining that the Kingdom's hosting of this exhibition coincided with the launch of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, the first pillar of which was the Arab and Islamic depth.<\/p>\n

His Excellency said that God has blessed the Islamic countries with promising investment potentials, and with hard work according to a clear vision, these potentials will be utilized to achieve prosperity for the homelands and well-being for all, stressing the importance of the hoped-for role of the exhibition in raising the level of trade exchange and enhancing the opportunities for intra-state investments among member countries, introducing investment, trade and economic opportunities in the countries organizing the exhibition with member countries, businessmen and investors and opening new markets for products and industries of the participating countries.<\/p>\n

The largest organization after the United Nations<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

For his part, Mr. Ayad Madani, Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), stressed the importance and role of the OIC, noting that it is the second largest global organization after the United Nations with 57 Islamic countries, calling on the private sector to play a greater role in the next phase in light of the global economic activity and the effective role of the private sector, stressing the importance of integration between the private sector in Islamic countries.
\nMadani expressed his hope for the presence of multinational companies in Islamic countries, thanking the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for his great support to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and his patronage of the exhibition, as well as the Emir of Riyadh for inaugurating the exhibition.<\/p>\n

Participation of 39 Islamic countries<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0The Islamic Trade Fair is held every two years in one of the Islamic countries, and more than 39 Islamic countries participate in this session, including: Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Palestine, Morocco, Tunisia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Iraq, Sudan, Mauritania, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Maldives, Turkmenistan and other Islamic countries, where the volume of intra-Islamic trade is about 878 billion dollars during the last year 2015, and officials hope that it will double during the next few years to reflect the depth of Islamic relations, to achieve aspirations for major shifts in the economies of all Islamic countries to enhance the volume of trade exchange between them.<\/p>\n

Investment and Cooperation Opportunities<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0The exhibition offers business owners and institutions many opportunities for private sector cooperation in various fields, such as finding new markets for their products and services, establishing joint ventures, providing financing methods for intra-trade, identifying opportunities for cooperation in industrial projects and expanding the horizons of trade exchange between Islamic countries.<\/p>\n

The Saudi Pavilion and Reflecting the Kingdom's Economy<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is the largest pavilion in the exhibition, which is located on an area of 1050 m2 and contains many goods and products that reflect the strength and diversity of the Kingdom's economy, which has reached the world, as Saudi non-oil exports reached more than 100 countries in the world with more than 200 billion riyals annually.<\/p>\n
