His Royal Highness Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Governor of the Makkah Region, recently conducted an inspection tour of the Makkah Oasis Affordable Housing Project, currently under construction in the Umm al-Joud district of the Makkah region, to assess the project\u2019s progress and current status. His Highness toured the exhibition hall showcasing the construction sites for the 500 residential units, which are being built at a steady pace to ensure their completion by the scheduled deadline.
\nDuring his tour, His Highness listened to a briefing from Engineer Abdulrahman Al-Khuraiji, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Makkah Oasis Project, who presented a report on the construction work being carried out by the contracting companies, and highlighted the achievements made to date. Al-Khuraiji confirmed that work and construction are proceeding according to schedule and that the 500 residential units in the first phase will be completed and handed over to the owners soon.
\nFor his part, Dr. Osama Al-Bar, Secretary of the Holy City, said that His Highness Prince Khalid Al-Faisal\u2019s visit was an inspection tour of the project aimed at assessing the progress of the work, inspect the ongoing construction work on the project, and assess the developer\u2019s commitment to delivering the units in the coming period. He noted that His Highness the Prince is always keen to follow up on projects that concern the well-being of citizens in the region, Al-Bar also explained that the affordable housing initiative in the Makkah region will be replicated, God willing, after it has proven its success and effectiveness through the Makkah Oasis Affordable Housing Project.
\n Engineer Mamdouh Al-Harbi, CEO of Makkah Oasis Company, also stated that the company is committed to carrying out all work in accordance with the agreed-upon methods and specifications. The project has completed the concrete structural work for all buildings, which are currently in the final stages of interior finishing, He noted that the buildings in the first phase\u2014consisting of 500 residential units\u2014will be delivered at the end of Jumada al-Akhira 1434, while the second phase\u2014comprising 1,800 residential units\u2014will be delivered at the end of Rabi\u2019 al-Awwal of the coming year, 1435. Al-Harbi emphasized that the project includes, in all its phases, all infrastructure services\u2014including water, sanitation, telephone, and electricity\u2014 as well as asphalt paving, roads, street lighting, and public parks. Al-Harbi also revealed that the housing lottery for owners in the second phase of the project will take place at the end of Rabi\u2019 al-Thani, and all owners will be notified of the specific location and time. It is worth noting that the \u201cMecca Oasis\u201d project is located 14 kilometers from the Grand Mosque and covers an area of approximately 670,000 square meters, designated for the construction of 2,300 residential units in two phases, in addition to a number of commercial buildings and public facilities.
