href=\"https:\/\/archdesign.moc.gov.sa\/\"> Architecture and Design Authority<\/a><\/strong> Regarding the recipients of the \u00abArchitecture and Design Grants\u00bb in its first cycle, which included five research projects, within the framework of the Authority\u2019s efforts to support research and innovation in the fields of the sector, and to enable the development and dissemination of original and methodological research, which contributes to enriching specialized knowledge in the fields of architecture and design.<br><br>The program aims to support research at all stages, from development to publication, and to transform its outputs into publications, exhibitions, and other forms of knowledge sharing, through an integrated framework that enhances the continuity and depth of research efforts and expands their sustainable impact in the long term.<br><br>The list of grant recipients included the project \u00abThe Story of Modern Architecture in Jeddah: A Journey Through the Architectural Archive,\u00bb by Dr. George Arabid and Reda Sejini, which seeks to document the history of modern architecture in the city of Jeddah by collecting and studying archival materials from private collections and local and international institutions, thus contributing to building a knowledge archive that documents the modern urban history of the city.<br><br>The list also included the project \u00abHeat: Vernacular Modernity of Post-Oil in the Arabian Gulf\u00bb, by Abdulrahman Qazzaz and Turki Qazzaz, which deals with the emergence of a new architectural language in the Arabian Peninsula during the post-oil discovery phase, through a study of the impact of industrial materials and energy systems on shaping the urban environment and the modern architectural heritage of the region.<br><br>Among the projects that received grants was the &quot;Pioneers&quot; project. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/amlak.net.sa\/en\/75711\/\">Saudi architecture<\/a><\/strong>\u00bbFor Dr. Mohammed Al-Khabbaz, which aims to explore the legacy of the pioneers of architecture in the Kingdom, document their intellectual and professional contributions to shaping the urban environment, and highlight their impact in a contemporary cultural context.<br><br>The list also included the project \u00abSayed Karim: His Projects in Saudi Arabia\u00bb, by Dr. Zaher Othman and Dr. James Steel, which documents Sayed Karim\u2019s architectural legacy and his works in various cities of the Kingdom, including government, educational and residential buildings, and highlights his contributions to the development of the Saudi urban environment.<br><br>It also included the project \u00abModern Saudi Architecture: A Practice-Based Creative Archive\u00bb, by Dhi Al-Dowayan, which aims to document modern Saudi architecture through an applied research methodology that combines architectural documentation and artistic production, to create a creative archive that preserves a pivotal stage in the history of Saudi architecture and makes its knowledge outputs available to researchers, practitioners and the public.<br><br>The architecture and design grants are one of the main pillars of the Authority\u2019s research and development strategy, as they contribute to building a collaborative research system that aligns with national priorities and the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, and seek to promote research based on the local context that reflects the context of architecture and design in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, while consolidating its presence as an active contributor to
