Economic activities related to the tourism sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia recorded a remarkable expansion during 2026, with the number of commercial registrations operating in these activities increasing at rates ranging between 32% and 52%, reflecting the increased demand for establishing tourism projects and the widening scope of investment opportunities available in this sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Data showed Ministry of Commerce <\/a><\/strong>The tourist lodge activity topped the list of the fastest growing activities, after the number of its commercial registrations increased by 52% on an annual basis, reaching 18,115 registrations by the end of the third quarter of 2026, compared to 11,900 registrations during the corresponding period of 2025. In the tourist accommodation facilities sector, the number of commercial registrations increased by 37%, recording 18,956 registrations by the end of the third quarter of this year, compared to about 13,819 registrations in the same period last year, reflecting the growth of investment activity in accommodation and visitor reception services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Growth extended to services and activities supporting the tourist experience, as the number of commercial registrations for tourist guiding activity increased by 33%, reaching 7,735 registrations, compared to 5,784 registrations at the end of the third quarter of 2025. Likewise, the activity of organizing tourist trips achieved an increase of 32% in the number of its commercial registrations, after it reached 11,949 registrations, compared to 9,057 registrations during the same period of the previous year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Ministry of Commerce believes that these indicators reflect the diversity of opportunities available to investors and entrepreneurs in the tourism sector, in conjunction with the growth of related commercial activities, which supports market activity and enhances the contribution of small and medium enterprises to the national economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The ministry added that the Kingdom\u2019s distinguished geographical location, diverse nature and climate, along with its cultural and civilizational heritage, form an important
