With companies representing more than 20 countries and 220 exhibitors in attendance, the Saudi Energy Exhibition recently concluded with great success, This year\u2019s exhibition attracted 5,051 trade visitors and saw record attendance from business leaders, entrepreneurs, government officials, project planners, and consulting engineers from across the Kingdom, as well as energy production companies and major industrial institutions.<\/p>\n

Al-Awaji Opens the Exhibition<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The exhibition kicked off after Dr. Saleh Al-Awaji, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Electricity Company, inaugurated the Saudi Energy Exhibition. In a statement following the opening, he noted that electricity demand is increasing annually at high rates, ranging from 6 to 7%, reaching rates that are unprecedented globally. He revealed that last year\u2019s peak-hour electricity demand for the grid increased by approximately 10%, This is a significant figure, especially when considering the total production capacity, which exceeds 60,000 megawatts; consequently, an increase of 10% represents an increase of 6,000 megawatts, and these challenges require substantial investments.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s edition saw a 43% increase in the number of visitors compared to 2015, The event served as a platform for exhibitors and visitors to learn about the latest developments in the energy sector, discuss market trends, showcase the latest equipment and services in the energy sector, establish global partnerships, and capitalize on new business opportunities in this field.<\/p>\n
