The Jeddah Municipality announced that 97 foreign investors have been granted professional licenses in real estate and commercial investment fields, amid official assurances to support foreign and local investments and provide the required facilities for them.
\nAccording to a statement issued by the Jeddah Municipality, the Licensing and Commercial Control Department of the Jeddah Municipality issued 12,650 health certificates for workers during the past month, while the Foreign Investors Licensing Department of the General Department of Licensing and Commercial Control issued 97 professional licenses for investors, including 49 new licenses, and 48 licenses were renewed, while 12 health licenses were issued, including 4 new and 8 renewed, out of 109 transactions submitted by foreign investors.
\n\u00abThe monthly rate of health cards issued by the municipality exceeds 12,000 in food and health activities,\u00bb Dr. Bashir bin Mustafa Abu Najm, director general of licenses and commercial control at Jeddah Municipality, told Asharq Al-Awsat, adding that \u00abthe professions that attract foreign investors are multiple, mostly in the field of real estate and shops.\u00bb.
\nIn another matter, Abu Najm stated that \u00abin light of the continued coordination with the health affairs in Jeddah within the committee of pharmaceutical warehouses, 4 pharmaceutical warehouses were inspected, one of which was found to be in violation, and 6 shops with foreign name plates were inspected within the committee of foreign names.\u00bb.
\n\u00abAccording to the monthly report issued by the department, 24 shops selling gold jewelry were seized within the gold shops Saudization Committee, out of 193 shops that were inspected, and regular measures were taken against their owners, while 4 shops selling spices were found in violation out of 5 shops that were inspected within the spice shops committee,\u00bb he added.
\nAs for following up on the cases of the Commercial Fraud Committee in cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce, \u00abviolations were issued for 24 sites and regular measures were taken regarding them, out of 128 sites that were inspected,\u00bb he said.
\nHe pointed out that \u00abthe department conducts surprise inspection campaigns throughout the day, including all activities related to public health, to ensure that shop owners apply the prescribed regulations, systems and requirements to protect citizens from commercial fraud or any health violations, stressing that the element of surprise governs the nature of the work to catch violators without giving them time to evade.\u00bb.
\nAbu Najm stressed that there is effective coordination during the tours of the various markets with many cooperating authorities, namely the police, the Ministries of Health and Trade, the Civil Defense, Mission Security, and the Makkah Passport Department, and called on citizens to report any violating establishments through the Municipality's operations phone (940) to take the necessary measures against them.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
