The price of the Chairman of the National Committee for the Saudi Building Code, Dr. Saad bin Othman Al-Qassemi, of the approval of the Council of Ministers chaired by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud \u2013 may Allah protect him \u2013 to the system of implementing the Saudi Building Code, considering this step of great importance in the effective implementation of the technical system that enhances the construction and building sector in advancing the sustainable development journey, and emphasized that the code will contribute to strengthening the civil renaissance that the Kingdom is experiencing in order to achieve leadership and excellence in the service and development sectors, noting that the development of the first version of the code was the result of great efforts by the relevant parties.<\/p>\n
Al-Qasbi emphasized that the implementation of the technical requirements set by the code will have a significant impact in enhancing the growth of the construction sector, one of the drivers of economic growth and sustainable development in our national economy. He pointed out that the Kingdom\u2019s Building Code system has identified a wide range of technical requirements and has established all the engineering rules for construction to achieve safety, public health, and sustainability of buildings in line with modern technologies in the construction and building world.<\/p>\n
Dr. Al-Qassemi revealed that the National Committee for the Saudi Building Code has started the project to update the Saudi Building Code and it will be presented to experts for review at the end of the 2017 fiscal year. This version includes requirements (architecture, loads and forces, inspection and testing, soil and foundations, reinforced concrete structures, brick structures, steel structures, electricity, mechanics, energy efficiency, health, fire protection, and the preparation of new codes that were not previously available, including the \u201cgreen, existing, residential\u201d building code to cover other professional aspects of construction and construction).<\/p>\n
The Saudi Building Code is a set of requirements and requirements that clarify the governing frameworks of regulations, implementing regulations, and annexes related to construction and construction to ensure safety and public health, in order to facilitate the selection of the correct studies and methods suitable for the conditions of the Kingdom and its environment.
