\nThe Ministry of Housing has clarified that it has no objection to converting agricultural lands located within private farms into residential lands in order to provide more residential lands for citizens wishing to benefit from them for the purpose of housing, provided that the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs approves their conversion from agricultural lands to residential lands and in coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture, especially since these farms are located within the urban area of the governorate and close to the existing urban block.
\n The official spokesman for the Ministry of Housing, Eng. Mohammed Al-Zamaiyah, told \u201cRiyadh\u201d that what concerns agricultural lands is not within the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Housing, confirming the approval of Housing Minister Shuwaish Al-Duwaihi to plan some lands located within private farms in some governorates whose municipal council members have requested the conversion of their agricultural lands located within private farms in preparation for the benefit of their owners and their families for the purpose of housing if needed to provide more residential lands, provided that the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs approves the conversion from agricultural lands to residential lands and in coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture, especially since these farms are.
\nRegarding the agricultural lands suitable for housing projects that belong to the Ministry of Agriculture, Al-Zamai confirmed that the Ministry of Housing has written to the Ministry of Agriculture to transfer them in favor of the Ministry of Housing projects. He pointed out that this procedure is carried out by the ministry with all government agencies that own large areas of land that can be utilized for the benefit of housing projects that will be allocated to citizens in all cities and regions of the Kingdom.
