\n Four organizations have completed their preparations for the launch of the Jeddah Tourism and Travel Exhibition, now in its fourth edition, which will be held in conjunction with the Haya Jeddah Shopping Festival. which aims to provide thousands of job opportunities and attract more than 25,000 visitors to the exhibition hall at the Jeddah Hilton Hotel from February 4\u20136, 2014, making it the largest tourism summit where decision-makers from the public and private sectors, as well as international tourism companies, come together.<\/p>\n
More than 150 tourist attractions
\nMore than 150 companies and tourist destinations have announced their participation in the exhibition, which is organized by the 4M Group for Exhibitions and Conferences, with support from the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the General Authority for Tourism and Antiquities, and the Jeddah Municipality. The event will run for three days, during which international delegations will take the opportunity to promote their tourism offerings and attractions to attract a larger number of Arab tourists.
\nThe exhibition provides an opportunity for exhibitors and visitors to conduct business transactions, as well as a platform to foster discussions on enhancing cooperation and exchanging expertise among decision-makers and tourism investors.<\/p>\n
For his part, Adnan bin Hussein Mandoura, Secretary General of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, expressed his hope that holding the exhibition in conjunction with the \u201cHaya Jeddah\u201d Shopping Festival (January 10 through February 8, 2014) would help attract the largest number of visitors and achieve the highest levels of success, given the vast potential of the Bride of the Red Sea, which offers all types of tourism.
\nIt boasts the longest waterfront promenade in the Middle East and is considered the region\u2019s leading hub for international conferences, forums, and exhibitions. It boasts state-of-the-art hospitals and medical centers, as well as nature reserves, and is well-equipped to host major sporting events following the completion of King Abdullah Sports City, with hundreds of centers, markets, and parks scattered throughout its streets.
\nHe noted that the tourism and travel exhibition, which features a large number of international and Arab entities, brings together all sectors related to travel and the tourism industry, offering an opportunity to engage with a broad segment of the Saudi public interested in exploring tourism offerings, while providing a platform for stakeholders and researchers to discuss key tourism-related topics with decision-makers and helping participating companies reach their target audience and benefit from the accompanying marketing campaign.
\nInternational fame
\nFor her part, Maya bint Hassan Halfaoui, chair of the organizing committee, emphasized that the exhibition has gained significant international recognition and reputation and ranks among the top events in the sector, with an exhibition space of 4,800 square meters. It targets the retail, entertainment, and hospitality sectors, as well as embassies, consulates, medical tourism, travel and tourism agencies, real estate development for tourist facilities, tourism development committees across the Kingdom, and providers of tourism services, training, and certification.
\nIt showcases the most important tourism services from countries around the world, as it is the largest exhibition of its kind in the Middle East, bringing together all sectors related to the industry and providing business owners and investors with opportunities to conclude deals with participating countries. Noting that the exhibition, which annually attracts 200 exhibitors from travel and tourism companies and institutions both within and outside the Kingdom, has set fundamental goals to highlight tourism services in the region, contribute to tourism development, and shed light on the latest developments in the service and tourism sectors, in addition to attracting the largest number of tourists from within and outside the Kingdom and providing tourism and travel companies with the opportunity to promote their programs and tourism offers through the exhibition, as well as highlighting the tourism industry by introducing new tourism products and facilitating the exchange of expertise among industry stakeholders.
\nShe noted that the exhibition highlights seven types of modern tourism targeted by the event in its third edition, including medical, eco, and marine tourism, as well as conference and shopping tourism, as well as sports tourism in all its forms and leisure tourism, which involves travel to well-known tourist destinations. She noted that tourism is no longer what it used to be; rather, its branches have diversified and intertwined, and it has become part of most aspects of daily life.
