The Capital Market Authority announces the issuance of a decision by the Securities Disputes Appeals Committee on 04\/09\/1435 AH, corresponding to 01\/07\/2014 AD, in the case filed by the Capital Market Authority against Hamad bin Abdulwahab bin Muhammad Al-Abdulwahab (the defendant), which upheld the decision issued by the Securities Disputes Adjudication Committee finding the defendant guilty of violating Article 49 of the Capital Market Law, and Articles 2 and 3 of the Market Conduct Regulations while trading shares of Astra Industrial Group, Mohammed Al-Maajil Group, Saudi Arabian Amiantite Company, Saudi Industrial Services Company, Saudi Transport and Investment Company, Saudi Fish Company, Malath Cooperative Insurance and Reinsurance Company, Iyak Saudi Cooperative Insurance Company, Saudi-Indian Cooperative Insurance Company, Al-Ahli Takaful Company, the National Agricultural Marketing Company, and the Tourism Projects Company, during the period from March 3, 2009, to May 26, 2009, as these actions and practices constituted manipulation and fraud and created a misleading and false impression. The decision required the defendant to pay the gains he realized as a result of the violations committed, amounting to (8,146,388) (8,146,388) eight million, one hundred forty-six thousand, three hundred eighty-eight riyals, and a fine of (300,000) three hundred thousand riyals for those violations.<\/p>\n
