With the participation of more than 200 specialized companies and under the exclusive sponsorship of *Amlak* Real Estate Newspaper, Engineer Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi, Chairman of the Council of Saudi Chambers, inaugurated the 7th International Exhibition for Machinery, Iron, and Metal Industries, which began on April 29 and concluded on May 2, 2018, at the Riyadh International Exhibition Center, where participating companies showcased the latest innovations, technologies, and products in these industries.<\/p>\n
The exhibition, which attracted key sectors of the steel and machinery industries, is considered the largest and most modern specialized exhibition for metal welding, cutting, and forming machinery, and serves as a barometer of the strength and importance of these industries in the Kingdom at the regional and global levels. The exhibition provides an ideal platform for both suppliers and buyers to network with business leaders and industry professionals and learn about the latest developments driving the massive boom in these industries, thanks to mega-projects currently valued at $627 billion.<\/p>\n
The exhibition saw significant participation from foreign companies outside the Kingdom, particularly from East Asian countries such as China, India, Turkey, and Taiwan, which showcased their experiences and expertise in these industries to businesspeople and investors in the Kingdom and across the Gulf states seeking new markets here, Meanwhile, representation by Saudi national companies was weak, which negatively affected attendance by visitors and those interested in the sector.<\/p>\n
Major companies attracted the attention of visitors, including Electrotherm, Al-Rawabi Integrated Gas, Halcon Systems, and Safe Middle East Trading, and showcased a wide range of state-of-the-art machinery for the modern industrial era.<\/p>\n
The government was represented by the Saudi Fund for Development (Saudi Export Program), which provided visitors with further details on the steps involved in export financing and the facilities it can offer to Saudi exporters, banks, and financial institutions.<\/p>\n
In its seventh edition, the exhibition received support from the Geological Survey Authority and the Export Development Program, as well as sponsorship from major companies operating in the sector, The exhibition covers all sectors, including steel and rebar, laser machines, all metal cutting, forming, and welding equipment, sheet metal cutting, furnaces, and rolling mills, measuring and testing equipment, and fasteners.<\/p>\n
