The projects of the Saudi Green Building Initiative and Forum, in its upcoming fourth session in Riyadh, aim to highlight employment and investment opportunities in green building projects by taking advantage of the site\u2019s natural lighting and ventilation, using clean renewable energy, water purification, conservation, and recycling, and the use of environmentally friendly building materials in the design and construction of buildings that ensure security, safety, and health for people and the environment, within the framework of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques\u2019 Green Building Initiative, which has overseen the forum since 2010.<\/p>\n
This initiative is part of the Saudi Green Building Forum\u2019s commitment to advancing human well-being and preserving the architectural, environmental, and economic heritage that God has bestowed upon this country, in order to enhance the vitality of life for the benefit of human health, security, and safety, as well as the environment, for generations to come.<\/p>\n
From the 23rd to the 25th of Muharram of this year, corresponding to November 16\u201318, Riyadh will host the conference, which will address four key themes aimed at achieving the desired goals through strategic partners, institutions, organizations, and relevant authorities to promote current.<\/p>\n
These areas include conferences, education, projects, and resources related to green building technologies, through which the Kingdom encourages the registration and certification of green buildings, as well as education through specialized courses on the concepts, applications, and technologies of green buildings, and resources and materials used in green buildings that are aligned with global standards in this field, as well as increasing the economic and environmental impact by promoting the use of green building technologies to reduce energy consumption and provide a healthy environment in the context of meeting sustainable development requirements.<\/p>\n
The economic and investment value of green buildings\u2014including the investment opportunities they offer and the benefits they provide to society and to professionals in this field, such as consultants and engineers\u2014is evident, as it has been proven that the use of green building technologies does not increase overall costs; rather, it achieves high economic viability by saving and reducing energy consumption, conserving resources, and improving the environment as strategic objectives.<\/p>\n
It is worth noting that the Saudi Green Building Forum aims to highlight employment and investment opportunities in green building projects, including leveraging the site\u2019s natural features for lighting and ventilation, utilizing clean renewable energy, purifying, conserving, and recycling water, and using environmentally friendly building materials in the design and construction of buildings that ensure security, safety, and health for people and the environment.<\/p>\n
It also encompasses many of the applications required for green building efficiency and environmental design, including advancements in design and engineering quality, contributions to the local economy, and the ability to design, construct, operate, decommission, and recycle these structures, as well as reduce construction waste.<\/p>\n
The Saudi Green Building Forum is a nongovernmental organization that oversees the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques\u2019 Green Building Initiative under the auspices of the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs.<\/p>\n
