In implementation of the royal orders, the Real Estate Development Fund has allocated SAR 21 billion to military personnel to enable them to own or build a home and stabilize their families by providing a good loan of up to SAR 140,000 in addition to financing them through the mortgage loan program through Financing agencies<\/a> The participation is in appreciation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince - may Allah protect them - for the brave soldiers and all those who protect the security of the homeland and the citizen.<\/p>\n

Khaled bin Mohammed Alamoudi, General Supervisor of the Fund, explained during a press conference organized by the Ministry of Housing<\/a> represented by the Housing Program today in cooperation with the Local Content and Private Sector Development Unit: This initiative is one of the initiatives of the Housing Program in cooperation with the Local Content and Private Sector Development Unit \u201cNamaa\u201d within the programs of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which aims to raise the ownership rate to 60% by 2020.<\/p>\n

He called on military personnel working in the military sectors to quickly register or update data in the \u201chousing loans\u201d programs at the Ministry of Housing or the Real Estate Development Fund, noting that the repayment of the good loan (up to 140 thousand riyals to own or build a house) will start after the completion of the basic mortgage loan, i.e. after 15 to 25 years maximum, and the installments will be scheduled according to the monthly income of the citizen at the time.<\/p>\n

As for the military sectors targeted by the initiative, Al-Amoudi explained that it includes all active military personnel:<\/p>\n

Ministry of Defense.<\/p>\n

Ministry of the Interior.<\/p>\n

Ministry of National Guard<\/p>\n

Royal Guard Presidency<\/p>\n

State Security Presidency<\/p>\n

and the General Presidency of Intelligence.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, the General Supervisor of Private Sector Development at the Local Content and Private Sector Development Unit (NAMA), Nayef bin Abdul Mohsen Al-Rasheed, explained that the \u201cHousing Loans Initiative for Servicemen\u201d aims to provide financing facilities to the protectors of the homeland in implementation of the Royal Decree, noting that it will contribute to the revitalization of the construction and contracting sector, and includes financing solutions and loans with competitive advantages in cooperation with approved financing entities in the Kingdom.<\/p>\n

Housing options for military personnel<\/h3>\n

For his part, the General Supervisor of the Housing Program, Mr. Marwan Zawawi, confirmed that the \u201cHousing Loans for Servicemen\u201d initiative contributes with the initiatives of the Ministry of Housing and the Real Estate Development Fund and directly contributes to achieving one of the objectives of the housing program by raising the ownership rate to 60% by 2020, and reaching 70% in 2030, explaining that the housing options available to servicemen include \u201cbuying a ready-made housing unit from the market, buying a ready-made housing unit from the Ministry of Housing projects or a housing unit under construction from the ministry's projects in partnership with the private sector, or self-building a land owned by the servicemen.\u201d.<\/p>\n
