Data released by the Ministry of Housing during Housing Forum 2019<\/a> At a press conference held yesterday, Tuesday, at the Movenpick Hotel in Riyadh, the ministry announced that the number of housing projects it has implemented on its land and is currently handing over to citizens has reached 35, comprising 11,600 housing units distributed across various regions of the Kingdom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Riyadh Accounts for the Largest Share of Housing Projects<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Riyadh region accounted for the largest share in terms of the number of projects being implemented by the ministry, with 8 projects comprising 2,081 units, representing approximately 17.9 % of the total units, followed by the Eastern Province with approximately 1,788 units, The minimum announced monthly installment for these units ranges from 1,033 riyals to 1,469 riyals, while the minimum prices for these units range from 200,000 riyals to 650,000 riyals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ministry had previously announced the general outline of the 2019 Housing Program, in which it announced the allocation of 200,000 new housing and financing options for beneficiaries of the Ministry of Housing and the Real Estate Development Fund under the 2019 Housing Program. The Ministry clarified that the housing options\u2014including housing projects\u2014comprise ready-to-move-in market-rate units, units under construction, free land, ready-to-move-in Ministry villas, existing loan financing, and self-construction. The Ministry noted that the focus will be on densely populated cities and strategic locations, stating that new housing units will be developed in partnership with the private sector, with several partnerships to be signed to build 50,000 housing units.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It confirmed that, under the 2019 Housing Program, it aims to complete 70,000 housing units using Modern construction techniques<\/a>... noting that it has worked to stimulate and localize the sector by signing a number of agreements with relevant entities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She added that in 2019, the company aims to continue this initiative by developing 69 million square meters and distributing it as free, developed land,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
