The general index of real estate prices recorded a decrease of 2.3% compared to the previous quarter (Q3 2018), as the general index of the real estate price index in the Kingdom reached (4.80) in the fourth quarter of 2018, compared to (3.82) in the third quarter of 2018. General Authority for Statistics<\/a> The Kingdom's real estate price index for the fourth quarter of 2018 indicated a decrease in the main sectors that make up the index; the residential sector decreased by (2.6%), while the commercial sector decreased by (1.7%), while the agricultural sector decreased by (0.1%) compared to the third quarter of this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rising real estate prices for residential homes<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

During the fourth quarter of 2018, the residential sector witnessed an increase in residential houses by (0.5%) compared to the previous quarter of this year and a decrease in residential land compared to the previous quarter by (2.7%) and a decrease in villas by (1.7%), and residential buildings decreased by (0. 6%) and apartments decreased by (0.2%).As for the commercial sector, commercial plots decreased compared to the previous quarter by (1.7%), commercial centers decreased by (0.2), and the agricultural sector decreased by (0.1%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Three sectors in the index<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The indicator is based on General Real Estate Price Index<\/a> This index is an important tool to support the authorities concerned with making economic and statistical decisions related to real estate price movements and future forecasts during different periods of time. The General Real Estate Price Index index includes three main sectors consisting of several real estate items: The residential sector, consisting of the following items (land plot, building, villa, apartment, and house), the commercial sector, consisting of the following items (land plot, building, gallery\/shop, and commercial center), and the agricultural sector, which includes one item: agricultural land.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is noteworthy that the real estate price index aims to create accurate real estate statistical indicators that measure the real estate market in the Kingdom in accordance with internationally recognized scientific principles and standards, and aims to fill the data gap related to the field of real estate, and is an important tool to support the authorities concerned in making economic decisions related to this field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About the Real Estate Price Index in the fourth quarter of 2018 <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The general real estate price index decreased by 2.3% compared to the previous quarter (Q3 2018).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The residential sector declined by (2.6%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The commercial sector decreased by (1.7%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The agricultural sector decreased by (0.1%) compared to the third quarter of this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Residential homes increased by (0.5%) compared to the previous quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Decrease in residential land compared to the previous quarter by (2.7%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Decrease in villas by (1.7%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Residential buildings decreased by (0.6%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apartments decreased by (0.2%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Commercial plots decreased compared to the previous quarter by (1.7%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Malls declined by (0.2) percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
