New Housing Projects... and an Uncertain Lifestyle<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Ministry of Housing is making efforts to develop Housing Solutions<\/a>...and investment entities are also trying to contribute to these solutions, which so far seem intractable! This impression was reinforced during my visit For a housing exhibition<\/a> The event was held in the Eastern Province at the Dhahran International Exhibition Center, and based on my personal observations, I noticed that the Ministry of Housing is making good efforts, and that a number of investment companies are attempting to develop solutions to address the current housing crisis, whether through ready-to-move-in units or construction materials. .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, I have not seen any real signs of a solution to the housing crisis in our country. .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Housing is not merely about finding a good residential unit that includes basic services, such as water, electricity, sewage, and the like. These are essential services; without them, a residential unit cannot truly be considered a residential unit!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We live in a country with a civilized culture, and our people look forward to a great and promising national vision. .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is truly shameful that these basic necessities are considered \u201cluxury services\u201d by the Ministry of Housing or investment companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, it is not enough for a residential unit to be well-built and thoughtfully designed\u2014even if we assume it meets the needs of its residents\u2014for us to call it a good housing opportunity. .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is a wide range of services that should be available in a residential neighborhood, including educational, medical, social, sports, cultural, environmental, and other services...<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many of the residential units or plots of land that have been allocated are located far from cities and key service centers within the city. .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The housing crisis lies in essential, everyday services<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Housing solutions must take the lifestyle of the residents of a given housing unit into careful consideration. When developing a housing project, the developer must ask several questions, including the following: .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where are the schools in this neighborhood, from kindergarten through high school?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where are the grocery stores and shopping centers of all kinds?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where will the residents of this neighborhood\u2014where the project is to be built\u2014find a place for social, cultural, and recreational activities?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Housing is a way of life that requires attention in order to achieve a life that is: balanced, fulfilling, beautiful, and well-spent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This lifestyle is part of the quality of life, which is one of the concepts of the Great National Vision 2030.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As for building housing projects or neighborhoods that lack services, this is tantamount to shifting national problems from one area to another! In other words, it means solving the housing crisis by any means necessary, even if it creates crises in transportation and roads, cities and municipalities, education, and health care. This is an unsound approach to problem-solving; in fact, according to standard problem-solving principles, it does not constitute a genuine, successful solution. In fact, these approaches run counter to the national vision, and they significantly reduce the level of happiness and satisfaction among those benefiting from these housing solutions, which in turn negatively affects the acceptance of these solutions by new groups. We are still in the early stages of implementing large-scale housing solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If beneficiaries of housing solutions are dissatisfied and unhappy, this will lead to a crisis of confidence in those solutions, and restoring that confidence will be much more difficult than establishing it in the first place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Everyone hopes for genuine, satisfactory solutions\u2014for all parties\u2014that are balanced and sustainable, not just temporary Band-Aid fixes.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
