As part of its commitment to corporate social responsibility and to promoting employee participation in volunteer work, the Professional Volunteer Program implemented At Al-Ahli Bank<\/a> 57 charitable projects spanning a variety of fields\u2014including technical, financial, administrative, and marketing\u2014were carried out by 155 volunteer bank employees, with a total of 1,041 volunteer hours dedicated to these projects for the benefit of 33 charitable associations and foundations in 10 Saudi cities over the past year. The \u00abProfessional Volunteering\u00bb initiative aims to support nonprofit organizations through a seven-step process that begins with introducing the initiative, defining the scope of work, selecting and engaging with organizations to identify their needs, providing them with consulting services through volunteers in accordance with the project action plan and defining project outcomes, supervising project implementation, and concluding with a final evaluation. The initiative is also part of Al-Ahli Bank\u2019s volunteerism program, which encompasses numerous initiatives and is based on an integrated strategy that includes all of the bank\u2019s corporate social responsibility programs \u00abOur People<\/a>\u00bbIt focuses on empowering the community through three key groups: women, youth, and children.\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The volunteer projects carried out by male and female volunteers from Al-Ahli Bank for charitable organizations covered a wide range of topics, including the management and marketing of the organizations\u2019 projects and programs, drafting and formulating contracts, mechanisms for establishing an endowment investment fund, developing financial resources and reducing operating expenses, ways to improve the public image of charitable organizations, hiring standards, financial analysis and diversification of revenue sources, exploring the possibility of charging fees for food preservation services, developing a marketing guide to attract supporters, and implementing electronic payment and donation systems through the organization\u2019s website. The volunteer projects also included methods for drafting a project budget and estimating financial costs; how to build a database; developing a mobile app, automating processes, reviewing the strategic plan and submitting proposals for its improvement, and how to market programs through social media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leading Beneficiary Charitable Organizations and Institutions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Among the most prominent charitable associations and institutions that benefited from the professionals\u00ab volunteer work were: the Majid Association for Community Development, the Al-Mawada Association for Family Development, the Jeddah Orphan Care Association, the Office of Da\u2019wah and Guidance, the Naf\u00bb Charitable Association, the Al-Basateen and Al-Mutanazah Neighborhood Centers, the Charitable Association for Engineering Services, the Social Development Committee in Al-Nakheel Neighborhood, the Knowledge Enrichment Endowment Company, the Alzheimer\u2019s Charitable Association, the Sulaiman Al-Rajhi Endowment Foundation, the \u00abBinaa\u00bb Association, the \u00abWiam\u00bb Association, the \u201cIta\u2019am\u201d Association, the \u201cWad\u201d Charitable Association, and the Al-Baraka Association. It is worth noting that Al-Ahli Bank recently launched the \u201cOur People\u2019s Happiness Volunteer Initiative\u201d in addition to \u201cProfessionals Volunteer,\u201d with the aim of spreading happiness and charity, and fostering a spirit of giving and brotherhood among 12 segments of society\u2014most notably orphans, cancer patients, individuals with autism, and others\u2014in 12 cities across various regions of the Kingdom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bank is the first private-sector company to adopt a system of 30 hours of paid volunteer work for employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
