King Salman Park is one of the Four projects<\/a> Launched by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz the day before yesterday - the largest city parks in the world with an area of 13.4 square kilometers and is located on the land of King Salman Air Base (Old Riyadh Airport), forming the largest city parks in the world, characterized by its pivotal location in the center of the city of Riyadh, linked to six of its main roads and arteries, and King Abdulaziz Public Transport Project through five stations on the green line of the Riyadh train and 10 stations of Riyadh buses, making it easy to access the site from all parts of the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

9.3 million square meters of green space<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

King Salman Park is planned as an environmental, recreational, cultural and investment project that includes gardens, green areas and open spaces with an area of more than 9.3 million square meters, including: (Islamic style garden, vertical gardens, agricultural labyrinth garden, bird and butterfly sanctuary) In addition to a 7.5-kilometer-long pedestrian circular path, an 800,000-square-meter \u201cvalley\u201d area in the center of the park, and a group of water elements, landmarks and artistic icons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Theaters and cultural facilities in the park<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The park includes a \u201cRoyal Arts Complex\u201d built on an area of more than 400,000 square meters, including a national theater with a capacity of 2,500 seats, five indoor theaters of various sizes, an outdoor theater for 8,000 spectators, a cinema complex with three halls, academies and institutes for the arts: (Academy of Visual Arts, Academy of Acting Arts, Art Institute, and Music Institute) and an educational center that develops children's talents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The park contains a range of cultural facilities, consisting of seven different museums: (Aviation Museum, Astronomy and Space Museum, Forestry Museum, Science Museum, Architecture Museum, Virtual Reality Museum) In addition to 40,000 square meters of ceremonial spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Health and sports facilities<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

King Salman Park is home to a range of sports and health facilities, including: \u201cThe Royal Golf Course, which is built on an area of 850,000 square meters, a sports complex on an area of 50,000 square meters, a virtual reality playground, a parachute and balloon jumping center, an equestrian center, a running and cycling track, in addition to a number of recreational facilities, including: A 100,000-square-meter amusement park, a 140,000-square-meter water park, a family entertainment center, and a viewing tower and bridge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 80,000-square-meter visitor center includes interactive exhibits about the park, multi-purpose halls, a meeting room, food and beverage outlets, an area dedicated to tree and plant nurseries, and open areas and squares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Residential, commercial and hotel facilities<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The park contains residential, office, commercial and hotel facilities, including: Complexes for residential buildings providing 12,000 different residential units, 16 hotels providing 2,300 hotel units, commercial spaces for restaurants, cafes and the retail sector with an area of more than 500,000 square meters, and office complexes with an area of 600,000 square meters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Smart Transportation Vehicles<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

It is characterized by the use of smart mobility vehicles, electric vehicles and bicycles within the park, while all public facilities and services are available, which are represented by: Mosques, security, health, educational and social centers, service roads, pedestrian walkways and parking buildings with a total area of 280,000 square meters distributed at the edges of the park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
