Cabinet Decision No. 554, issued at the recent Cabinet meeting, cleared up the confusion in the understanding of Cabinet Decision No. 82 issued in 1435 AH regarding the participation of banks and the private sector in the Housing Finance Program<\/a>Whereas, the Council decided to amend the third item of this decision, and the amendment stipulated that \"the housing support regulation applies to all housing loan applications submitted to the Real Estate Development Fund.<\/p>\n

The decision directed the Fund to process all applications submitted to it whose owners have numbers before 7\/23\/1432 AH in accordance with the rules and procedures set by the Fund's Board of Directors in coordination with the Ministry of Housing and guided by the provisions of this regulation, taking into account the waiting period for applicants. The decision granted the owners of applications before 7\/23\/1432 AH who meet the conditions in the housing support regulation to amend their applications to benefit from housing support.<\/p>\n

The Supreme Decree directed the Real Estate Development Fund to submit a report to the Board of Directors of the National Development Fund after the end of the current fiscal year explaining the measures taken regarding the housing loan applications submitted to it whose owners have numbers prior to 23\/7\/1432 AH. This decision aims to clarify the confusion that occurred during the previous period, which resulted in the issuance of a number of judicial rulings based on the confusion in the interpretation of Article 3 of Resolution 82, so that this decision is a clarification of the previous decision in the aforementioned article.<\/p>\n
