The construction sector in Saudi Arabia is the fastest growing and most demanding in terms of demand, and this growth is reinforced by Saudi Arabia's entry into the world of modern construction technology and considering this technology as a new basis for the modern housing that the citizen longs for and suits his aspirations and capabilities, and this technology is characterized by reducing time and effort and low cost, as the technologies now, according to the fourth generation, use 3D printing to build a house in several hours, and other technologies.<\/p>\n
After proving the success of the experiment, Taif City inaugurated the use of construction techniques in the \u201cCity of Roses\u201d project, which is one of the largest real estate projects in the Kingdom and is a major and important addition to the Saudi construction sector, as it includes 4775 housing units with construction techniques, and the project includes units with various models and spaces. It also contributed to providing job opportunities for Saudi youth, which reinforced the benefits of using technology to empower human capital.<\/p>\n
The units, which were included in the \u201croses\u201d, were implemented using tunnel formwork technology, which is a system of prefabricated formwork for pouring various concrete elements in the factory or on site, and is manufactured from several materials such as iron and aluminum. These molds were developed to cast both walls and ceilings simultaneously; this system is characterized by the speed of completion by reducing the implementation stages, such as lining the walls and ceilings with the possibility of using the molds for a large number of times, and this technology contributes to reducing material waste by 60 percent.<\/p>\n
The Building Technology Incentive Initiative was the sponsor of the project and is credited with making great efforts for its success, providing the project developer with several training courses in cooperation with the Real Estate Institute, which contributed to increasing his capabilities.<\/p>\n
