In his opening speech, Sultan Butti bin Mejren, Director General of DLD, said: \u201cDubai enjoys a wise leadership guided by the vision of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, who is keen to provide all means of support to the real estate sector and ensure its sustainability.\u201d \u201cSince the establishment of the Higher Real Estate Committee in Dubai, we have witnessed a 134% increase in real estate transactions,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
In her speech, Majida Ali Rashid, Executive Director of Real Estate Promotion and Investment Management at DLD, explained that achieving a sustainable balance in the real estate sector in the emirate is a top priority for the Supreme Real Estate Committee, as market indicators show that the sector is maturing and becoming increasingly balanced.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have achieved a total value of more than AED 1.4 trillion through 715,000 cumulative investments made by 374,000 investors so far this year, and have seen investments worth more than AED 56 billion through 31,000 investments made by 23,000 investors.\u201d.<\/p>\n
The conference agenda included parallel sessions centered around two main themes: Architecture, Design and Real Estate Technologies. The architecture-focused sessions were organized in collaboration with the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) as part of Informa Markets\u201c new strategic partnership with the institute.<\/p>\n
During the architecture and design sessions, several presentations were given by experts and specialists from both DLD and a range of architectural firms, including Weston Williamson Engineering and Vittoria Grassi Arteto & Partners.<\/p>\n
The technology-related sessions featured representatives and experts discussing the impact of new technologies on the real estate market and future trends from Colliers International, Kiazin Asset Management and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank.<\/p>\n
