The real estate market achieved a significant rise during the first nine months of this year, as the rate of increase in total real estate transactions reached 37.1 percent, to stabilize at the end of the period at the level of 132.9 billion riyals, compared to about 97.0 billion riyals during the same period last year, and observers attributed this rise to the loans granted by banks, institutions and housing support, which amounted to 55.2 billion riyals in 9 months. 55.5 % of Residential transactions are loans<\/h3>\n

These loans boosted real estate transactions by 41.5 percent of the total value of transactions, while residential sector loans contributed to the completion of 55.5 percent of the total value of transactions in the sector during the same period.<\/p>\n

\u00a0 <\/span>These developments during the first nine months of this year at the level of average prices resulted in a decrease in the average price of residential land by 4.8 percent, compared to the average for the same period last year, and a decrease of 29.1 percent, compared to the highest average recorded in previous years for the first nine months of the year.<\/p>\n\n

Apartment prices rise, villas fall<\/h3>\n

In contrast, the average price of residential villas decreased by 10.4 percent for the same period, and the average recorded a decrease of 26.4 percent compared to the highest average recorded during the past years for the same period.<\/p>\n

The average price of apartments increased by 2.3 percent for the same period, and the average recorded a decrease of 15.2 percent compared to the highest average recorded during the past years for the same period.<\/p>\n\n

234K real estate transactions in 9 months<\/h3>\n

In terms of the rest of the real estate market performance indicators, the total number of real estate transactions during the first nine months of this year increased by 65.3 percent, to settle by the end of the period at the level of 234 thousand real estate transactions, and the total number of properties sold during the same period increased by 65.6 percent, to settle by the end of the period at the level of 244.8 thousand properties sold, and the total area of real estate transactions also increased by 7.4 percent, to settle by the end of the period at the level of 674 million square meters.<\/p>\n\n

Average residential land prices<\/h3>\n

The general average price per square meter of residential land during the first nine months of this year recorded a decrease of 4.8 percent, compared to the same period last year, to settle at the end of the period at the level of 1020 riyals per square meter, compared to its level during the same period last year, 1072 riyals per square meter, and the total decrease in the general average price per square meter of residential land for the first nine months of the year, compared to its highest level during the past years, reached 29.1 percent.<\/p>\n\n
