Banks inject 93.7% in loans<\/strong><\/h3>\nAccording to statistical data issued by the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency, the share of real estate loans provided by local banks amounted to 93.7 % of the total loans equivalent to 263.7 billion riyals compared to 217.2 billion riyals for the second quarter of last year, an increase of 21.6 % year-on-year, while the value of real estate loans provided by financing companies during the period amounted to 17.6 billion riyals representing 6.3 % of the total loans provided, compared to 15.2 billion riyals for the corresponding quarter of last year, an increase of 16 % year-on-year.\n

64.2<\/strong> %<\/strong>of retail real estate loans<\/strong><\/h3>\nThe individual sector accounted for 64.2 % of the volume of real estate loans provided by financing and banking institutions, equivalent to 180.7 billion riyals, compared to 138.6 billion riyals during the second quarter of the previous year 2018, an increase of 30.3 % year-on-year, of which Saudi banks provided the equivalent of 165.8 billion riyals, representing 91.7 %, compared to 125.5 billion for the same period last year, an annual increase of 32 %.8 billion riyals, representing 91.7 %, compared to 125.5 billion for the same period last year, an annual increase of 32 %, while the share of financing companies amounted to 8.2 % to reach 14.8 billion riyals compared to 13 billion riyals for the same quarter of last year, an annual increase of 13.8 %.\n

SAR 100.7 billion in corporate sector financing<\/strong><\/h3>\nAs for the corporate sector, it accounted for 35.7 % of the total real estate financing contracts, equivalent to 100.7 billion riyals, compared to 93.8 billion riyals for the corresponding period of the previous year and an annual increase of 7.2 %, of which the contribution of Saudi banks accounted for 97.1 1 % and 97.8 billion riyals, compared to 2.8 billion riyals that were the share of other financing companies, by 2.8 % year-on-year.\n

91,294 financing contracts in 8 months<\/strong><\/h3>\nIn August 2019, subsidized financing loans by the Ministry of Housing under its housing programs, which are being implemented in partnership with Saudi banks, recorded a remarkable leap in new residential mortgage contracts, rising to 328.4 % on an annual basis, reaching 11,747 contracts compared to 2,742 contracts recorded in August of last year 2018, bringing the total volume of contracts at the end of the first eight months of the current year 2019 to a total of 91,294 contracts compared to 25,277 contracts for the corresponding period of the previous year, an increase of 261 %, according to the statistical bulletin of the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA).\n

SAR 40.7 billion in loans since the beginning of the year<\/strong><\/h3>\nThe rise in the volume of residential real estate financing contracts was accompanied by a similar rise in the volume of financing of these contracts, which recorded in August 2019 worth 4.9 billion riyals, compared to 1.5 billion riyals in August of the previous year 2018, jumping by 224.7 %, bringing the total volume of financing for these contracts since the beginning of this year 2019 until the end of August a total of 40.7 billion riyals, compared to 15.4 billion for the same period of the previous year and an increase of 163.7 %.\n

Residential villas get 80.1<\/strong> %:<\/strong>From funding<\/strong><\/h3>\nSAMA's statistical bulletin indicated that the financing facilities granted by banks under the new housing finance contracts were distributed to various real estate needs of individuals, where the share of contracts concluded for the purpose of establishing or owning residential villas amounted to 80.1 % of the total value of financing contracts provided during last August 2019, a slight decline from the corresponding period last year, while contracts for the purpose of owning residential apartments came second with 12.3 %, then facilities provided for land ownership by 7.5 %.\n
