The \u201cEastern Business Youth Forum and Exhibition 2019\", which was held from 4 to 6 November in Dammam, continues its activities with great success, under the patronage of Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, and in the presence of Engineer Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al Rajhi, Minister of Labor and Social Development, with the participation of more than 800 businessmen and women as well as companies and banks for support and financing to enable young people to implement their entrepreneurial activities. The forum, organized by the Eastern Chamber of Commerce and Industry, saw the launch of 300 entrepreneurial initiatives and projects, and the signing of four agreements and memorandums of understanding, including three agreements signed by the Chamber with the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Foundation for the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises in the United Arab Emirates, the National Fund for the Care and Development of Small and Medium Enterprises in the State of Kuwait, and Riyad Bank to support the financing of entrepreneurial projects, in addition to the first franchise agreement for a pharmaceutical company.<\/p>\n
For his part, Abdulhakim Al-Khalidi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Eastern Chamber, stressed that the forum and exhibition contributes significantly to launching many initiatives and activities that add value to the national economy, such as opening job prospects for Saudi youth, and offering goods and products bearing the logo of excellence and quality (Made in Saudi Arabia).<\/p>\n
Al-Khaldi added that the Eastern Chamber has been holding this forum and exhibition once every two years, believing in the importance of business and economic activities provided by young businessmen and women, by highlighting the contributions aimed at developing the economic sector and providing it with new ideas that keep pace with the development movement in all economic activity in the Kingdom, which is embodied in \u201cVision 2030.\u201d He pointed out that the Saudi market by its nature is developed in many fields, and bears the character of interaction with all modern initiatives put forward by young businessmen and women, prompting more optimism for a better future and a wider contribution to the sector.<\/p>\n
For his part, Abdullah bin Faisal Al-Barikan, Chairman of the Business Youth Council at the Eastern Chamber, said that the forum will present projects containing youth initiatives that faced market challenges but were able to withstand and continue by developing ideas and adapting to the market, adding that the forum is an opportunity for entrepreneurs to benefit from the participating experiences and meet the most prominent investors, as this event is a forum for all pioneers, investors, interested parties, financing and consulting authorities to exchange views and translate the meetings into promising investment opportunities, stressing the keenness of the forum and exhibition to support entrepreneurs and simulate their ambitions to achieve.<\/p>\n
In turn, Najla bint Hamad Al-Abdulqader, President of the Chamber's Young Businesswomen Council, said that entrepreneurship in the Kingdom is witnessing creative ideas from young businesswomen, who can play an influential role in the market and achieve a distinctive experience and expertise in multiple fields and precedence as they rely on creativity and initiative, pointing out that the forum is an opportunity for women with creative ideas as they will meet those who have achieved distinct successes through their creative ideas and experienced people whose advice and studies enabled them to achieve gains based on studies and knowledge that have been harnessed to serve their projects.<\/p>\n
The exhibition continues until Wednesday, November 6. The forum will feature 12 speakers, including Emirati businessman Mohamed Alabbar, Chairman of Emaar, as well as young entrepreneurs and officials from funds and organizations that support and empower entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n
