This comes in conjunction with the Kingdom\u2019s accession to the World Health Organization and the International Chamber of Commerce\u2014which represent more than 45 million companies worldwide\u2014to call on G20 governments to coordinate global measures within a common framework that aligns with national priorities for combating the (COVID-19).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Support for Small\nand Medium-Sized Enterprises<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The group\u2019s chair, Youssef Abdullah Al-Banyan, explained that\nthe initiative\nbrought together B20 members and partners with the aim of providing the G20 with\nactionable proposals and recommendations. He noted that the importance of this initiative lies in highlighting the private sector\u2019s role\nin addressing the COVID-19 pandemic and its economic repercussions.\nHe emphasized the focus\non micro and small-to-medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), as they require direct support, and revealed\na trend toward adopting further fiscal and monetary measures, along with trade facilitation\nand specific regulations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The initiative includes all\nthe group's teams<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Al-Bayan explained that the initiative was designed to involve, in\nits implementation, all\nworking groups of the Business Group and the Businesswomen\u2019s Council, by forming a cross-functional group\nacross the working groups of the Saudi Business Group, through which we ensure the identification of priorities related to the\n(COVID-19) and future crises that could cause disruption affecting business continuity\nbusiness continuity. Our goal, quite simply, is to draw on the expertise and knowledge of the global business community\nto put forward a set of recommendations regarding legislation and policies that should be adopted in\nG20 countries for the benefit of all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Practical, Effective, and Timely Recommendations<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Al-Bayan stated that the group will work to ensure that the global business community is able to provide recommendations for practical, effective, and swift policies through a comprehensive and transparent collaborative approach.
