The Ministry of Housing has revealed details regarding the nomination for The \u00abGulf Cooperation Council for Housing\u00bb Award\u00bb <\/a>For the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, at its third session titled \u201cPlanning and Design of Residential Neighborhoods,\u201d which will be held in accordance with specific criteria and conditions; the organization announced that the deadline for submitting nomination files is the end of next June. In a statement, the ministry explained that the award aims to encourage activities and\nresearch that contribute to the development of the housing sector in the GCC countries, and to foster a spirit of competition\namong universities, consulting firms, urban planners, architects, engineers,\nand other professionals from various disciplines to develop projects, research, and studies that help\nadvance the housing sector in light of various changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ministry of Housing confirmed that the award will be granted to the best projects, research, and studies in\nthe field of housing that contribute to the development of the housing sector in GCC countries in accordance with the\nfollowing criteria: (preserving the identity of the Gulf urban character; commitment to designs that promote\nsocial cohesion; residential neighborhoods based on sustainability and quality of life; and efficient\nplanning tailored to the population\u2014individuals, families, and people with disabilities\u2014), noting that\nthe prize for first place is 50,000 riyals, while the second-place winner will receive\n30,000 riyals, and the third-place winner 20,000 riyals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ministry stated that nominations for the award are open to several categories, including research centers, universities, institutions, companies, and consulting firms, as well as specialists in any field related to the housing sector in GCC countries. It noted that the deadline for submitting nomination files is the end of June at the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
