The Minister delegated authority Municipal and Rural Affairs<\/a> The appointed officials, Majed Alhakil, the area and governorate secretaries, deputy ministers, and department managers, have been given 60 powers that represent the transfer of municipal work to a new phase. This measure comes due to the importance of the area and governorate secretariats and the extent of their work across the country, which has had the largest share of those powers. Alhakil has assigned the secretaries with forty powers, which are aimed at developing the municipal sector system. The powers include leasing municipal real estate and signing contracts for it, approving soil inspection reports for the lands to be planned, in addition to approving hydrological studies and approving plans for individual locations for seasonal markets and others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs, Minister Majid has delegated authority to\nThe Hilti agents and department managers will exercise 20 new powers, including the delegation of some of their powers to officials associated with them, the issuance of approvals for the expropriation of property for public benefit, and the payment of real estate compensations based on ministerial decisions approving the initiation of procedures for the expropriation of property, while they also ordered the establishment of a new center within the ministry, the \u201cMunicipal Data Center and Decision Support Center,\u201d to serve as a single entity responsible for organizing, managing, and governing urban data, statistics, and indicators in the municipal sector, in addition to the establishment of two units, namely, the \u201cSystems, Policies, and Legal Affairs Unit\u201d and the \u201dFinancial and Budgetary Affairs Unit.\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These decisions aim to achieve the greatest benefit for the citizen\nThe investor and resident of municipal sector services, in addition to improving the quality of life in all areas, facilitating citizen transactions with the sector's affiliated entities, as well as activating the role of the municipal oversight and reporting councils in serving it, and accelerating the completion of municipal projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These authorities were able to quickly adopt and complete the regulatory plans for the routes of roads, streets, squares, and parking lots within the urban area, while also providing fairness in investment opportunities by delegating the authority to adopt the decision to rent government premises and lease municipal properties, as well as adopting plans for investment sites and zoning plans.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n
