The CEO is known as the person responsible and involved in the workflow of the company that belongs, starting from setting goals, organizing resources and directing employees until his follow-up and efforts culminate to match the plan with the achievement, the task seems easy and easy, but in fact it is a task that requires strong determination, determination, intelligence, and diligence away from the illusion that is marketed by the lights and influenced by young people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Responsibility for consequences <\/strong><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Today in this space, we talk about the CEO, who is always subjected to a wave of envy for his position, and some think that he is luxurious, and does not have many tasks on his shoulders, until when the ship is about to sink, they call on him after God: Do something, and if it sinks, God forbid, everyone holds him responsible, and their slogan is: \"You're in charge.\" So this position hides behind it a lot of responsibilities, achievements, failures, devastating mistakes, dazzling successes and much more This elegant title (Chief Executive Office) is the one that raised Apple, put Nokia Nokia and sold Yahoo<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CEO is a position with departments underneath<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

So when I talk about the tasks, duties and responsibilities of a CEO, I'm not talking about the position that some young people rush to add to their business card, and when people ask them what they do, they say: I am the co-founder and CEO of XYZ startup and this company consists of him and his friend and maybe his brother, I am talking to you about the real CEO who works in large companies that have an impact on the market and the field in which it operates, and under his umbrella are heads of departments such as: -COO, CFO, CMO, CTO, and other titles that have a glamor that people like, but honestly don't interest me one bit; it's all about the accomplishment behind each of these titles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stress and the potential for plans to fail<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

I don't remember who said it, but the CEO gets the limelight and the paycheck in exchange for a lot of stress and fear that their plan or management strategy might fail, and from my experience, I'm telling you the secret recipe: There is no secret recipe: Trial + error + learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the internal pressures within the company, we find that the CEO is always between a rock and a hard place, dealing with external challenges represented by markets, competitors, investors and government institutions, as well as internal challenges represented by managers and employees and the constant challenge of creating a stable work environment that allows for continuity and continuously raising the level of performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Requirements for a successful CEO<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

1- Sleep a maximum of 4-6 hours a day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2- Sit down with the wife and children once a week and maybe monthly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3- Go to the doctor at least every two weeks to make sure your health is stable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4- Acquiring leadership qualities (yes, they say leadership is innate, I say: leadership is acquired from circumstances and conditions).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5- Strong mastery of effective communication skills: Ability to win over everyone from managers to workers (very important for target fulfillment).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6- Emotional discipline: No excessive emotions at the expense of work, and no disregard for the human aspects of work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 7- Traveling a lot (this sounds fun, but believe me, it's very stressful, especially as you get older).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

8- Extreme flexibility (so that you can deal wisely and consciously with changes).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

9- Continuous learning Seeking knowledge is an obligation, not a luxury. I'm still learning from young people my children's age about things I don't know about technology and marketing, and I don't see anything wrong with that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 The day you are arrogant about science, know that you are not fit for the title of CEO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

10. Commitment: You are the mirror of a huge army of employees, managers, workers, customers, partners, shareholders, and entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Commitment to you is not a choice but an inevitable obligation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I may be a bit harsh on the CEO - especially when addressing my children - but take it from me, my son: A glass of water I throw in your face to wake you up is better than a piece of candy I put in your mouth to get you drunk. Be a man up to the responsibility and challenges to become a CEO that you and my fellow CEOs can be proud of: Where are you in your achievements and life?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
