Emerging sectors accounted for the largest share of foreign licenses, with education, financial services, and housing receiving an estimated quarterly increase of 57%, followed by industry, manufacturing, and ICT, while India, the US, Lebanon, and the UK topped the list of new foreign investments in the Saudi market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Minister of Investment, M. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih said that the continuation of the economy and the conduct of business were also at the top of the list of priorities that were affected by the precautionary measures, as the government took a number of decisive decisions to limit the negative effects of the pandemic, and announced support packages for the private sector estimated at $45 billion, in addition to tax exemptions, postponing payments and supporting the salaries of employees in the private sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Al-Falih pointed out that since the beginning of the spread of the pandemic, the Kingdom has taken a decision based on a decisive principle, which is that human life and safety comes first, and that there is no way to trade human life for any other material goals, and this principle was translated on the ground:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
