Revealed Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) <\/a>Regarding the injection of 50 billion riyals to boost liquidity in the banking sector and enable it to continue fulfilling its role in providing credit facilities to all its private-sector customers, including the banks\u2019 role in supporting and financing private-sector projects by modifying or restructuring their financing without any additional fees, and supporting plans to maintain employment levels in the private sector, in addition to waiving a number of electronic banking service fees, all in line with the banking sector\u2019s role in implementing monetary policy and promoting financial stability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SAMA noted that the banking sector continues to post strong performance indicators, which strengthens its ability to weather challenges and crises, with the sector\u2019s total assets at the end of the first quarter of this year reaching approximately 2.7 trillion riyals compared to the same period last year, an increase of about 14%. Credit facilities extended to the private sector also grew by approximately 12% during the same period, while the average capital adequacy ratio (CAR) stood at approximately 18.6%, The average liquidity coverage ratio (LCR) stood at 201 %, and the net stable funding ratio (NSFR) was approximately 126%, These indicators reflect positively on commercial banks\u2019 continued fulfillment of their pivotal role in the Kingdom\u2019s economic development and affirm the Authority\u2019s continued commitment to maintaining financial stability and enhancing the efficiency of the banking sector to support the achievement of the Kingdom\u2019s Vision 2030.
For his part, Finance Minister Mohammed Al-Jadaan stated that the Kingdom is not experiencing an unusual outflow of foreign reserves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
