Osama Al-Afaleq, revealed that a decision had been issued to lift the restrictions on Chinese companies in the construction sector that benefit from obtaining <a href=\"https:\/\/amlak.net.sa\/en\/%d8%a7%d9%84%d9%85%d8%b4%d8%a7%d8%b1%d9%8a%d8%b9-%d8%a7%d9%84%d8%ad%d9%83%d9%88%d9%85%d9%8a%d8%a9-%d8%aa%d8%b9%d8%b2%d8%b2-%d9%82%d9%88%d8%a9-%d8%a7%d9%84%d9%82%d8%b7%d8%a7%d8%b9-%d9%85%d8%ae%d8%aa\/\">Government Projects<\/a>, noting that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aleqt.com\/2016\/05\/05\/article_1052258.html\">Chinese companies<\/a> The biggest challenge for national companies was the existence of an exception for these companies, noting that the state is obligated to pay financial dues within 60 days of the invoice date, not the date of the payment order. The Authority has submitted a request to the Ministry of Finance to expedite the payment of financial claims, while the Authority has also addressed government agencies regarding value-added tax.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During his participation in a webinar titled \u201cThe Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on the Construction Sector\u201d\u2014organized remotely by the Eastern Province Chamber of Commerce earlier this week\u2014Al-Afaleq confirmed that the Authority is working to select a consultant to implement the \u201cContractor Challenges,\u201d which aims to examine the challenges facing construction companies, whether related to the impact of advance payment or the economic impact. He confirmed that the initiative will be presented to the Council of Economic and Development Affairs soon, noting that the Authority is putting the finishing touches on its new, updated strategy, while also working to launch model contracts before the end of this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He explained that the Authority is in the process of launching model contracts before the end of this year, and that these model contracts will serve as a reference for safeguarding the rights of all parties (payments, evaluation, disputes), Twenty-five model contracts have been identified to cover various construction activities.
