His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, announced his directive to allocate 20 million square meters of new residential land north of Riyadh and transfer its full ownership to the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, as part of his interest in the housing sector to contribute to enhancing the stability of families and raising the rate of home ownership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This allocation aims to increase the area of Al Jawan Residential Neighborhood<\/a> From 10 million square meters to 30 million square meters by two times, and the implementation of additional housing units up to 53,000 housing units through projects with integrated facilities and services in partnership with the private sector to add to the 20,000 housing units previously announced.
The generous directive comes as a continuation of the continuous support and attention of His Highness the Crown Prince to the housing sector, which contributed to raising the percentage of Saudi families owning their first home from 47% to 60% within four years until 2020, as the various solutions and facilities in the sector, supporting the real estate supply and enacting supporting regulations and legislation contributed to achieving this percentage by the end of last year 2020, in accordance with the directives of His Highness and the objectives of the Housing Program - one of the programs of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 - to reach 70% by 2030.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
