The amendments included that the committee takes all legal and statutory measures, including those that contribute to preserving the rights of shareholders and restoring them in the most appropriate ways, whether selling the contribution directly according to its current value, selling it through public auction, waiting for the approval of the contribution plan, or continuing to carry out development work according to the status of each contribution, and may file lawsuits before judicial and quasi-judicial authorities at all levels, according to what the committee deems necessary to achieve the interests of shareholders.<br \/><br \/>Anyone against whom a decision is issued by the committee may appeal to the competent court at the Board of Grievances within a period not exceeding sixty days from the date of notification of the decision, or the date of its publication in two local newspapers.<br \/><br \/>If the committee subsequently completes the sale, it refers the contribution documents and papers to the notary for emptying.<br \/><br \/>Since its inception, the committee has been able to recover 11 billion riyals as part of the comprehensive efforts to restore the rights in troubled contributions to their owners.<br \/><br \/>While the total number of troubled contributions since the 1980s is about 600, 300 contributions have been liquidated and rights restored to their owners, while about 250 contributions are still under procedure, and dozens of contributions are outside the jurisdiction because they have been before the courts since the early days or the expert committee in the Council of Ministers or in the emirates of the regions.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"span-reading-time rt-reading-time\" style=\"display: block;\"><span class=\"rt-label rt-prefix\">Reading time: <\/span> <span class=\"rt-time\"> &lt;
