The Authority will gradually suspend inactive domains or those that violate applicable regulations, while granting government entities a specific grace period to respond and file objections before the domains are permanently shut down.<br \/>The aim is to regulate government domain names on the Internet, ensure the integrity of domain name registries, protect the rights of registrants, and link them to government platforms and websites, thereby facilitating the organization of digital government operations and contributing to streamlined procedures and easier access.<br \/>His Excellency Engineer Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Suwaiyan, Governor of the Digital Government Authority, explained that the Authority seeks\u2014through the issuance and implementation of a number of regulations governing digital platforms and websites\u2014to organize the work of the digital government and contribute to improving the regulatory and investment environment in order to achieve a proactive and forward-thinking digital government capable of providing highly efficient and reliable digital services, thereby helping to meet the needs of beneficiaries safely and reliably, He emphasized that the Authority will work to analyze and review existing platforms, applications, and websites after they are registered in accordance with the regulations issued for platform governance and the regulatory framework for digital government operations.<br \/>The Authority is the competent body for all matters related to digital government and its regulation, and it seeks to achieve integration in the field of digital government among all government agencies, contribute to improving the investment environment in the digital technology sector, leverage existing assets, and enhance operational
