His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Council of Economic and Development Affairs\u2014may God protect him\u2014launched the Asir Region Development Strategy under the slogan \u201cPeaks and Traditions,\u201d which aims to achieve a comprehensive and unprecedented developmental renaissance for the region by injecting 50 billion riyals through diverse investments to finance vital projects, and to develop tourist attractions on the majestic peaks of Asir, transforming Asir into a year-round global destination. This initiative will build on the region\u2019s strengths\u2014its culture and natural beauty, which blend tradition and modernity\u2014and contribute to driving social and economic growth in the region.<\/strong>
His Highness announced that the Asir Strategy aims to transform the region into a year-round global tourist destination, attracting more than 10 million visitors from within the Kingdom and abroad by 2030, This will be achieved by leveraging the region\u2019s immense tourism potential through high-quality tourism projects designed to highlight its majestic peaks, geographical and natural diversity, and reveal its rich culture and heritage.<\/strong>
His Royal Highness the Crown Prince emphasized that the Asir Strategy aims to attract investments from within and outside the Kingdom, which in turn will contribute to creating effective economic momentum; by implementing an integrated system to streamline procedures and strengthening the role of tourism and culture as key drivers of economic development in Asir.<\/strong>
His Royal Highness the Crown Prince noted that the implementation of the strategy will, by 2030, contribute to the creation of new job opportunities, as well as improve the quality of life and enhance basic services and infrastructure in the region, including telecommunications, health, transportation, and other enabling sectors.<\/strong>
On this occasion, His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Asir Region, expressed his deepest gratitude and appreciation to His Highness the Crown Prince for his continued support and generous attention to the Asir Region and its people, as well as for launching the Asir Region Development Strategy, which seeks to achieve a comprehensive renaissance for the region, for the benefit of the people of Asir and its residents, thereby raising the quality of life, developing infrastructure and services, and contributing to attracting investment and advancing the region\u2019s social and economic development.<\/strong><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
