Suspended ceilings are one of the most important \u00a0Architectural means<\/a> Used to fill voids, it is the ideal solution for architects to solve design issues such as covering the essential components of each building such as central air conditioning and fire hydrants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The use of suspended ceilings becomes a necessity in businesses and hospitals to cover multiple joints and the ease of installing additional joints over time, while in residential spaces, the functions of suspended ceilings are augmented by the aesthetic function.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are many purposes that necessitate the use of suspended ceilings in different buildings, the most important of which are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

- Hide installations for ventilation, air conditioning, air ducts, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

- Used as soundproofing between floors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

- Allows for good light distribution, especially in shops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

- Facilitates regular maintenance of air conditioning, electrical work, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

- It can be maintained periodically by replacing damaged parts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Disadvantages of suspended ceilings:<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Using a suspended ceiling reduces the height of the original ceiling, and the process of installing the ceiling requires skill and experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I \/ Gypsum ceilings:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1- Plasterboard:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Types of Plasterboard<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

- Plasterboard: It is coated with a layer of cardboard in ivory or white and the inner face in gray and is used for all interior work and walls as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

- Fire-resistant plasterboard:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is coated with a layer of ordinary gypsum board and is used more in walls than in ceilings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

- Plasterboard is both heat and moisture resistant:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the best types of plasterboard, as it is coated with a layer of reinforced cardboard and the core of silicone and fiberglass, and this type is used in kitchens, bathrooms and areas with high humidity and is preferred to be used in the entire house because of its wonderful design specifications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2- Gypsum board tiles:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Made of lightweight gypsum board, it is moisture-resistant and insulates heat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3- EcoStop: Soundproof ceiling tiles<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Second: Wooden ceilings: They are not common as they are expensive and require a large amount of time to install<\/p>\n\n\n\n

III. Stretch mesh ceilings<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stretch mesh is quick to install and easy to shape, making it possible to create uneven surfaces such as curves and abstract shapes in decorations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
